The property is steps from the beach, which for me, doesnt get better than that! The hosts were friendly, helpful and very nice and made me feel right at home. I would definately stay there again

our stay was relaxing and fun. the apartment is large clean and well located, only steps from the beach. the living area is large with with a large flat screen TV and good TV and wifi reception. the 2 air conditoned bedrooms were comfortable. the kitchen had all items needed to cook with a large gas stove and large refrigerator. the best part was Manuel. there was a problem with the apartment on the firast night and we stayed in a smaller apartment for one night. Manuel made the transition easy. His charming manner and willingness to help were greatly appreciated. We extended out stay and Manuel was happy to accomodate us. Manuel speaks excellent English and is on call should you require anything. Manuel is a treasure. I would like to mention Manuel's son,. John Manuel who was our taxi driver though out our stay. He, too, is on call, 24-7. he is courteous, prompt, and very knowledgable of the are. He helped us find things and was always friendly.. I recommend him highly as well. Playa Placitas is not high end but it is clean comfortable, safe and a very good value. we recommend it and and look forward to our return..

I stayed in apartment #20 clean self serving apartment ,up stairs. 2 minutes from the playa Dorada beach. Good size balcony over looking the beach to the left. Has cooking utensils. Hair dryer,iron and ironing board. Towels. Welcome drinks and beer in the fridge. Mini mart within walking distance also they do delivery.15 minutes from the center of the city and 15 minutes from the airport. Beach bar that serves good food 3 minute walk and is alive with the snowboards. .

Great Stay!

The apartment was lovely and comfortable with a beautiful ocean view! The owner/manager was quick and helpful to take care of all of our needs. I would highly recommend this place!

El pueblito close to the beach

We enjoyed our stay .clean apartment. Self serve .3 minute walk to the beach. Close to the airport. Walking distance to playa dorada. Less than 15 minutes to downtown Puerto plata. Need a car to get around but within walking distance to the main street. Service was great the Manger made sure we had everything we would need in a self serve apartment. Neighborhood is very quiet in the night.during the day many tourist on the beach

El pueblito playa dorada December 2016

I am a budget traveller and this place was perfect for me and the family .apartment size was perfect 2 bedroom with living room ,eating area with large dining table. We had our Christmas get together there. El señor Manuel loan us a BBQ grill when we enquire about one. He made us felt right at home and told us he was only a phone call away. We could not figure out how to use the TV and he was there in matter of minutes.I had 4 small children and very restless without the TV. This place is a 3 minute walk to the beach. Many tourists on the beach . Our fridge had drinks.water and beer as a welcome gift. Only thing missing was a microwave but I bought foil paper and place things in the oven to be warm. Not everyone likes a microwave so not a nessessity for me but maybe for someone else. Towels and soap was provided. Kitchen had pots and pans.plates utensils. Wine glasses we had a wonderful Christmas BBQ and the turkey and the pig was cooked in the oven. Señor Manuel made sure the tank was full of gas when I told him that I would be having our dinner at the apt. There is a mini food mart 2 minutes from the apartment. Grocery store less than 15 minutes away. Hot water ,air-conditioning in the bed room .washing machine .this is a self serve apartment.nice and clean. We wanted to stay an extra day but it was not available. We love this place and would definitely recommend it and would return in the future. Security making rounds felt safe. thank you señor Manuel for everything.
