Magnifique appartement au cœur de la ville

Grand appartement très bien décoré, encore plus beau que sur les photos. Bien équipé et douillet.Sent un peu l'humidité mais ce n'est finalement qu'un détail.Hôte reactif et courtois.Nous reviendrons avec plaisir !

Charming, well-stocked, central

We really enjoyed our stay at this charming apartment in the heart of Riberia neighborhood of Porto. Communication with the host was excellent. Check-in/out was easy and stress-free. One of the representatives met us at the apartment to make sure everything was OK. The unit was clean and nicely decorated. We were greeted by a bottle of wine and water. Bathrooms had shampoos (beyond the usual tiny one-use packet) and there was detergent for 3 loads of laundry (much appreciated after a week of travel!), beds were comfy, kitchen had everything we needed (even a roll of paper towels - not something we’ve seen at other rentals around Portugal). A couple of things to keep in mind, which were not an issue for us, but could pose some challenges for others. The stairs to the basement bedroom don’t have railings. I could see this being an issue for someone with balance concerns, or families with really young children. And while the apartment was overall pretty quiet, the basement bedroom was quite exposed to the outside noise. Given the central, very touristy location with high foot traffic, the noise continues into the wee hours. So, if you are a sensitive sleeper, maybe bring really good noise-cancelling headphones. The location could not be more central, if you are looking for easy access to restaurants and the many attractions offered by the neighborhood. The Sao Bento station is a 10-15 minute walk mostly on flat streets. We hope to be back one day!

Needed cleaning and internal noise.

The basement bedroom has open stairs and no rail making getting luggage up and down difficult. Every time we turned on the water or fllushed the toillet a big grounding noise ensued. Sounded like putting a desktop computer into a garbage disposal. The floor and surfaces had not been cleaned. There was mold in the coffee maching grounds catcher. Weird towel policy with 3 towels per person for 4 days and $63E for more. It's on a busy street with a lot of pedestrian traffic. Expected better at this price point.
