A great stay in an historic building (there’s a book written on it in the room and lobby). The welcome gift was a nice touch. I enjoyed the European touch of having windows and doors out onto the balcony which helped to minimize the street noise on the weekend. The beds were comfortable and firm, and had a variety of pillows to choose from. I really appreciated the standalone wardrobe with a built-in area big enough to fit my “it” brand carryon. The Nespresso coffee maker and the tea kettle were great additions to the morning when contemplating my plans for the day I was able to have a tea or coffee in a beautiful cup. It’s a great location with restaurants on this road and neighbouring streets. Don’t miss the square of Monpilher. It’s a lively cafe area which oozes international life. The only downside would be that the shower drained slowly and I had brought that to the attention of the reception when I left.

We enjoyed our stay as the room was great and the location perfect. Good points: Clean rooms , modern features quiet rooms and Great staff.( Diogo especially as his knowledge and passion for helping us was 5 star. Bad points: The shower leaking all over the bathroom floor every time we used it and they had no mop in the hotel which means we had soaking wet towels on the floor to stop us slipping which wasn't ideal but our only option. Would I stay her again? very much so we still loved the hotel and staff.

Great location and mostly in excellent condition. We had issues with hot water taking a long time to refill the tank and a shower drain was slow, so the bathroom flooded a little, but otherwise great. Staff was available, but didn’t say much.

Love the layout of the 2 bedroom. Wish there was a better shower option that doesn’t flood the bathroom floors and could have used extra waters to begin our stay, otherwise loved it. Great location and staff is lovely and accommodating.

A good experience.Check in was eaay- all done via the app. There is an supermarket Round the corner and the room was clean Improvemento- would have been great to have bowls as well as plates, only 1 mirror in the room(bathroom). There is also a 24 hour reception but via WhatsApp. When the fire alarm went off just before 7am, there was minimal communication (they stopped replying on whatsapp and the phone number given rang out)and it took over 1 hour to get back in the building

We ended a 3 week European trip through 3 countries and 8 places, and at this superb place in Porto was in our top 2 only equaled by a highly starred hotel spa in Tuscany. Best boutique hotel

Laranjais was the best place we stayed in our across-southern-Europe trip. The staff was outstanding in every way, the room was comfortable and spacious. The location in the city was perfect.
