Expected a little more for the price
Overall this listing was fine. We searched a lot of places on VRBO before booking this place. We decided to splurge a little more based on the photos of this particular listing. The host was nice enough to let me check in early as it was pouring rain and all of us were traveling to the city that day with lots of luggage. It definitely took persistence and reaching out politely to see if that was possible. Overall I was disappointed in the hosts response time. On the day of cThat made me a little nervous. Upon check in, I noticed a damp/mildew smell. I was also surprised to learn that 2 of the bedrooms were down a set of stairs/subterranean. The 3rd bedroom was on the first floor right as you walked in the front door. The bathroom was downstairs with the other 2 bedrooms meaning the person staying on the first floor didn’t have easy access to the bathroom. Just something to note if you are planning to use all 3 bedrooms. Further there was a major ant problem across both floors. It started in the bathroom and by the second day they were in our luggage and all around the kitchen. When I reached out to tell the host and ask if they could drop off some traps, they replied several hours later essentially blaming us for opening windows and leaving food out. This just wasn’t the case. I reached out to the host to give some constructive feedback suggesting some upgrades on the mattresses and linens that they hopefully invest
