"Bed was not comfy as we had backache after second night , we turned mattress round was ok that night but the after that . The step into the shower was too high and we had to buy a step to get in it and also the floor surface was very slippy . "Excellent few days stay at the Heights Hotel. We experienced a couple of minor “problems” We were told the Bar served bar meals we were not told that because the hotel had a coach party in we would not be able to order our dinner until the coach party were all served and it would be up to an hour and a half before we could hope to be served. Our other “problem” was that the toilet in our room did not flush properly thus leaving loads of toilet paper in the pan. Not nice !! We could not fault the staff, they were friendly and very accommodating for every thing we requested. Unfortunately as the hotel is situated on one of the highest points in Portland the views were obscured by very low cloud every day we were there. We did several journeys away from the hotel and found much better weather and views. We also really liked the robot waiter in the Coffee shop, a really novel idea."
