Nestled in the heart of the tranquil Mallorcan countryside, yet near to the beach and buzz of Port de Pollença, Villa Seguinot offers the best of both worlds. With families travelling with small children in mind, a section of the garden and the pool itself have been thoughtfully enclosed to offer added safety and peace of mind for vigilant parents.
A covered front porch welcomes visitors in true Mallorcan style however, the real holiday activities take place on the other side of the property, with a spacious covered dining terrace incorporating a brick-built barbecue and additional seating overlooking the pool, sun terrace and an expanse of grass large enough to kick a ball around or encourage young feet to use up that surplus energy before bedtime. The surrounding area is notably peaceful and exceptionally picturesque with a backdrop of the Tramuntana mountain range, one of Mallorca's most renowned sights, skirting the edge of Pollença in the distance.
Inside, solid wood furniture, Terracotta tiles and locally crafted furnishings depict the character of Villa Seguinot. An entrance hall of simple country style décor, with beamed ceilings and whitewashed walls dotted with rurally themed pictures and curios, opens out to an ornate staircase ascending to the first floor, whilst a series of stone arches lead through to the dining room, air-conditioned living room and well-equipped kitchen.
On the upper level far reaching views are enjoyed from all three bedroom windows and with air-conditioning in each, a good night’s sleep is easily accomplished.
Reached by country lanes, Pollença Old Town is an easy 10-minute drive and home to an excellent variety of restaurants serving tapas or local delicacies and a weekly Sunday market, making this quaint town a great choice for immersing oneself in traditional life. In such close proximity to the coastline, sandy beaches, craggy coves and an assortment of water activities are plentiful from this location. Cala San Vincente with its three sandy coves – Cala Barques, Cala Molins and Cala Clara, is certainly worth a trip, whilst the long stretch of sandy beach at Port de Pollença is the place to head for, if in search of local craft shops, a stroll along the promenade and super lazy lunches overlooking the sea.
Other activities close by include golf, the Sa Pobla train for a fun day travelling to Palma City and a selection of boat trips to discover the coast from a different perspective.
