"Maid service was not good. We had to go to office on the 3rd day to get clean towels. Never made bed and didn’t empty trash. We took it out ourselves.
Staff in office was great."
"The property was beautiful. The grounds were well kept. The hotel is in the middle of hills and the view is of beautiful mountains. The front desk and food service staff were all friendly. If I was in the area I would stay there again. Only comment is that there is not enough space on the sink. But everything was clean."
"The staff/managers let people around 40-50 adults and teens to have alcohol and party in the lobby until after 2:00 AM on Friday night and I asked for a different room on another floor and they said no.
On Saturday night it was a repeat of Friday night in which I got a video of the staff/managers allowing the partying and drinking again.. They also allowed drinking and underage partying in the parking lot with loud music until after midnight. The lobby was filled with about 60 people drinking, playing loud tv and open vodka bottles sitting on the table and adults and minors were running in and out of the hotel. The pool was supposed to close at 10 pm. They allowed unattended children and teens to stay in there until after 1 am.
The staff refused to allow me to change rooms the first night and the second night made me wait until midnight before they gave me another room at the back of the hotel on the 4th floor where it wasn’t as loud.
I had 2 rooms and requested a refund for only one of the rooms. My parent’s room was in the back of the hotel and they said it wasn’t as loud there. I was on the first floor and it was horrible.
I was refused a refund even though I got no sleep.
I asked to speak to the manager they said he wasn’t there. They gave me a card to email him and I received no response. I left my number and he was supposed to call me, he never did. I called back after I left to again try to talk to him but was never allowed to speak with him."
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Reedsville - State Coll Area by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"Immaculately kept property. Everything you need and nothing you don’t. Spacious room with a great bed. I was out all day so it was perfect as a place to crash. Good breakfast too."
"We were very disappointed with our stay. The first room we were given had stains from bodily fluids on the beds, which was completely unacceptable. We requested a different room, and after moving, we found dirty towels left behind in the second room as well.
To make matters worse, when I asked to switch rooms, I was told we would receive the room at a cheaper rate because of the inconvenience, but that never happened. Overall, the cleanliness, customer service, and handling of the situation were extremely disappointing. I would not stay here again."
