"The staff was AMAZING. So kind and happy to chat about the property. It’s definitely historic but clean. No frills and comfy beds, and you can’t beat the location. Thank you Cary House for a great 4th of July weekend stay!"
"There was no working elevator which if you're on the 3rd floor or 1st floor, good luck with carrying your stuff up and down. Everything else was great. The pool and spa are well maintained. I love that some rooms have sliding doors to go outside and some right out to the pool area. Breakfast was of great quality. It's in a quiet area but close of a drive to their downtown area."
"Nice little studio a few miles from the American River. It gets really hot here in the summer, so thank God for the good air conditioning! Chris, our host, was very responsive and did all he could to make our stay comfortable. Our reason for going was to get our doodle out of town from all the noise on the Fourth. We. had 3 very quiet nights, and everyone slept well! The place was missing a regular coffee maker (it had a Keurig instead), but Chris brought us one immediately so we could have a big pot of Joe every morning."
"The motel was reasonable for the night's stay. The staff were friendly and very accommodating when we asked for more pillows. The bed was comfortable. However, the carpet in our room is very old and there was a terrible, large black spot in our room. I don't know what it was. The carpeting needs to be replaced, if only done in that room. When we arrived, the motel was full. Parking approved for 1 car only."
"Love this little place! This is my second year visiting my good friend in Nor Cal. This cottage is clean, cozy, quiet. We enjoyed sitting by the pond in the evening, in the quiet mornings, I read, did some writing and just spent time clearing my mind. There is so much to see here in this area, good hiking/walking trails, we went blueberry picking too!Enjoy!"
"The owners were super friendly to my children. We stayed in the Sterling room which was like a library! My children enjoyed looking through the books.
My only comment was we had no choices for breakfast and my kids wouldn't eat the breakfast. More for me though!"
