"Another lovely overnight stay at La Villette, great swim and use of the jacuzzi / hot tub. Nice evening meal and next morning breakfast in bed.
The facilities are being renovated, including the health suite, and a nice new smell in our room of new carpet and paint was a pleasant surprise.

"A lovely rural hotel in the parish of St. Martin, about 10 minutes drive from the airport and 15-20 minutes from St. Peter Port. Located on narrow, winding roads, the hotel provides an excellent base for exploring the island. Reception is friendly, efficient and knowledgeable, rooms are nicely decorated, beds are comfortable, and bathrooms with walk-in shower are spotless. Efficient and capable staff freshen up the room each day. There is a pool and a large sitting area outside (but not in use due to inclement weather during our stay). As for clientele, La Barbarie appears to have a loyal following of older seniors who return annually. The hotel has ample parking and is serviced by a local bus that runs past the property. "
