"The property is located in the beautiful valley on top of the mountain. The drive up to the check in was a small , narrow , cobblestone driveway. Once arrived we quickly checked in and were escorted to show us where to park the car and where the breakfast location was. Luckily we were located on the 5 th floor terrace so we only had to take the suitcases down to terrace 5 from terrace 7 where we parked. The room was a perfect size with a beautiful view of the grape vine mountainside and the river. There was a fridge and big walk in shower. The breakfast was spectacular with fresh squeezed orange juice and a chef to make omelets or over easy eggs ! They had 2 places to get food but unfortunately when we checked in on night one there was no availability until 9 pm at main restaurant . The next night we had reservations at 8:30 pm and that was the earliest! Edjardo who checked us in recommended a restaurant downtown and helped us get a taxi there and a return taxi , which cost $100 euros! So when you book a room , make dinner reservations at the main dining for a spectacular view and great menu variety. There are a lot of stairs so check to see if someone can help with suitcases to get to your room. Also when you book, ask if someone can take u to their main dining restaurant yet or you will have to drive ,or walk up and down the cobblestone driveway. There are some lights ,"

"It was a great place to stay. Up on the side of a hill looking down on the Douro river. Beautiful room and spacious bathroom. We had a balcony with our room. The hosts were great and knowledgeable of things to do. Great breakfast in the morning. Even had a decanter of port wine for tasting. Definitely would stay again."

"The property was perfect. Rooms are modern, plenty of space and well kept. The pool, gym and spa were excellent. The wine tasting experience was great and plenty of options that suit what you are looking for, especially if you have a budget. Staff were friendly and helpful. This was my second visit and it did not disappoint."

"Check in was great, with a welcome glass of Port. Breakfast was perfect every morning with plenty of options and very scenic views. Room was little dated and the area itself is secluded. If you’re looking for that, than this is the spot. The highlight of the trip in Douro was the wine tour about an hour away. Beautiful area beautiful resort. "

"All I can say is run to this Quinta! This was the highlight of our trip, by far. The staff was exceptional; as is the property which was very clean. We stayed at the outer building and had a pool all to ourselves, along with a lemon tree & breathtaking views. The restaurant on the property was great and the breakfast was just right, offering plenty of fresh options. The wait staff was friendly and professional, offering great wine paring options for every course of every meal. A short walk brings you to the nearby city where you can take a river cruise or walk to two other vineyards to do a wine tasting. The staff arranged a driver to take us to other Quintas for wine, cheese, bread and honey tastings. It was fabulous. We will be back for sure!!!"

"The room was very clean and well equipped, nothing was too much trouble and we were very well looked after. Breakfast was lovely including home made jams, marmalade and fresh bread. The food in general was amazing, we had dinner on our first evening and then the dinner and wine tasting on the second night. Luis the owner did the wine tasting and he was very informative and a proud wine producer from the Douro Valley. All the staff were amazing and looked after us really well. We were all made to feel extremely welcome ( even our dog 🐶 Buddy) I can’t recommend this Quinta highly enough. Also the property was well positioned to explore all of the Douro Valley.
