Great value. Beautiful place, very good bed, comfortable and good quality. The staff is very helpful, good language skills. My first time in West Bali, absolutely amazing. The location also good. Really in the real Bali life, beautiful to walk near the sea. Highly recommended!
Overall our stay at Medewi Bay Retreat was wonderful. Since this was our first trip to Bali, we didn’t have a lot of experience with the different areas of the island, and didn’t realize how remote this area was. We knew Medewi was a very popular surf destination and nearby to Negara, but other than that it is a far more rural/remote area than Kuta, Changgu or Ubud.
Our best suggestion when booking any place in this area is making sure you are able to drive/rent a scooter in this area because using the Grab/Gojek(app) is next to impossible in this location. And walking along the main road is very dangerous.
Medewi Bay Retreat was very accommodating because of our lack of transportation, the staff are so friendly and wonderful, we ended up making so many friends by the end of our stay!
If you are looking for a quiet, all-inclusive experience in a more rural and traditional area of Bali, Medewi Bay Retreat is a great choice.
this hotel is brilliant we loved it here nice and friendly staff beautyfull room nice and clean good servic nice breakfast food beach near by lovely swimming pool would deffernately stay here again
Quiet comfortable place. Restaurant very pleasant, right next to beautiful pool, Delightful servers. Be aware that in Bali you will pay for water Most places. Very good value.

Bukit Lembar, les montagnes jumelles
Chambers simples... Route proche donc bruyant! Personnel très sympa et arrangeant.
Il faudrait mentionner que l hôtel se trouve à 6 km de Munduk. Il faut donc un véhicule pour y arriver!

The resort is lovely, yet a little far from "tourist amenities". If you are looking for total relaxation, walks along a volcanic sand beach, away from civilization, then this is the place to stay. There is a warung less than five minute's walk, and we found the most beautiful Balinese woman, Ketut, who, when asked, offered to teach us traditional cooking.
When you leave the resort, the warung is to the left, and if you want to visit Ketut, her store is to the right and right again. There is also a small market stall just down from Ketut's where you can purchase fresh vegetables at local prices. Once Ketut taught us the basics, we were happy to experiment in our villa with local ingredients.
The resort does have a restaurant, food is mediocre, but service was great. They try and have entertainment on a nightly basis, but when we were there (late March), the resort was "empty".
We did take their transport into Negara for a day of shopping which was a lot cheaper than the tourist areas around Kuta. Visit the local markets and department store.
All in all, we had a great time, but you must go with the attitude that you will be doing "nothing except relaxing" while you are there. If you want nightlife, then stick to Kuta, Legian, Seminyak, etc.

Liked: Cleanliness
Value: Exorbitant, Unreasonable, No water food way pricey;
Cancelled our transport without asking, aircon too small for room, food and water way overpriced, no water supplied at all, pool is shallow be careful
Facilities: good accommodation + pool; Value: very good value for money; Service: Respectful, Friendly, Courteous; Cleanliness: Faultless, very clean room ;
The sandy beach is 700 metres away and you largely have it to yourself but it has huge rips, unsafe for children
