"The room was much smaller than expected. Sliding door to balcony was almost impossible to open. My husband was the only one that could open it. Had maintenance look at it only to be told there was nothing they could do. It was scheduled to be replaced during the off-season. The room and bathroom needed a good thorough cleaning. Floors very dirty."

"This property is lovely and the host is very easy to communicate with. Luis also made an accommodation for our family on a needed appliance, which was great. There are a lot of pros to this property, it was clean, lots of sleeping spaces, good kitchen accessories, second fridge downstairs that we used for beverages, and the beach access is wonderful. The area of beach in front of the house was relatively private and compared to some areas of Pawleys, there was good beach above high tide to set up on. I will note that the kitchen and main area where we hung out is disconnected from the beach and on the marsh side. We really enjoyed the marsh, especially at sunset and the watchtower gave an incredible view, but did miss the beach sounds and sights as part of our house and porch time. The only real way to see the beach from the house is from the master bedroom balcony and even then the view is a little limited by the big houses in front. I'll also note that this house doesn't come with any beach accessories (chairs, beach towels) which was hard with some of our guests flying as we had to bring it all or rent locally. Finally, the bathrooms are all dedicated to the bedrooms, which was a little tricky for us with the people staying in basement or master area away from the kitchen and main gathering space. Overall though it was a great, beautiful, and unique space."

"We loved our stay at Storm Surge. The kitchen was clean and nicely stocked. We met Stewart, and he was very nice. The lagoon outside and the beach were fun. We enjoyed Gilligan’s putt-putt, Franks Outback, Pawleys Island Tavern and Krispy Kreme among other things. The villa was very comfortable, and we would definitely like to stay again."
