I was very surprised that when I went to breakfast they are now charging $15 to eat. The breakfast was never something to brag about and now they are getting guests to pay for it. Not a good idea but just one person’s opinion. I am sure others will start to comment

Yes, it’s historic. I understand they are doing some renovations. We stayed in a room not renovated. Bathroom sink knobs didn’t work right. Plaster and trim work falling off the walls everywhere . Bathroom sink vanity had leaked under and was dark and rotted. Room furniture missing knobs and veneer. ...

The employees here clearly take pride in their work. The room was clean, the staff were probably some of the friendliest that I have encountered at a hotel, and the breakfast was way better than most hotel breakfasts.
