The location was very convenient, there was plenty of restaurants nearby. The metro was only only 10 minutes walk away. The room itself and hotel was nice, the bathroom however was TINY. Anyone over 5 foot tall will struggle.

We were excited to stay here due to the location. It is right in the heart of Le Marais so that is a positive. The rooms are TINY even I believe for Paris. Be aware that if you have 2 standard suitcases they will not fit . We had carry on and it was still a struggle. The hotel is very old and has not been maintained . Our room had peeling wallpaper and the bed was very lumpy. Also there are very limited ammenities- no shampoo or conditioner or face towels. We had breakfast included which was ok. If you can get this as a bargain price then yes.

Cute hotel in perfect area

Had a terrific stay at Hotel Jacques de Molay. Room was very clean and charming with windows that opened out onto the street (which I left open during most of my October stay). The location was safe and right in the middle of everything. They had a nice breakfast, gym, and sauna as well. Only complaint was I had to return my key each time I left to the clerk, which was a minor nuisance but I assume there is some logic to it. The room cost was very reasonable as well. Overall, highly recommended!

2/10 Terrible

The photos on Expedia are totally misleading. Whilst the location is great, and the reception area is cool and groovy, the room we had was more like a one star cheap hotel by a train station! It was so bad that we left immediately in the morning! Very uncomfortable mattress (hard and you could feel the springs) and the room was unclean, and literally was in dire need of repair! It looked NOTHING like the room on my reservation confirmation! The management did not respond after 24 hours with our concerns. I emailed them immediately with photos. The receptionist did offer to change our room but I didn’t believe it would be any better.
Soap and plastic cups in bathroom
Head board on bed had brown and red stains

NO on-site parking here, despite the listing!

On the Hotel.com website for this hotel it lists "on-site self parking, for EUR 22.00 per day". This was one of the main reasons I picked to stay at this hotel. Well no such thing existed. There is NO on-site parking at all!. Instead I had to try to find local parking lots, getting an address from the hotel receptionist. The nearest one, was fairly close but with the many one-way streets and traffic lights, it was over 20 minutes' drive away. And once I got there to the address given, there was no lot. I was lucky enough to find a street spot, which was about a 10-minute walk (as there is legal street parking on Paris streets on Saturday nights and Sundays - unless otherwise posted). The hotel itself was pleasant. The rooms were quiet, but small, but most of the European hotel rooms seem small compared to American ones. The elevator was small too, but it did the job. Lastly, do not expect to get too much out of the televisions in this hotel unless you speak French, as all of the English-speaking channels were blocked.

Lovely hotel in a historic building at the north end of Le Marais. Staff were extremely helpful and room was very comfortable. My only recommendation would be a few more amenities in the washroom eg- hand lotion, shampoo-conditioner, face cloths. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay.
