Wonderful Family Weekend Getaway

This beautiful home was a pleasure to stay at. It had everything you could think of and more for kids, adults and dogs too! The owner was a pleasure to work with and was so easy to contact when needed. It was a short walk to the beach and several other small places to eat and a small store nearby if anything is needed. Perfect place!

Beautiful beach home just two houses from the beach. Booking and communication with the owner was very easy. The home is beautifully kept and has everything to keep a large family entertained. The beach is dog-friendly, as is the homeowner. We had a lovely time and will be visiting again!

Wonderful stay with steps to the beach!

Our family had a fantastic time staying at Sarah’s beach house. The home is just steps from the beach, and filled with fun activities for everyone. We especially liked the ping pong table, rooftop fire pit, and games that were provided. The home was clean and Sarah was very accommodating. We hope to stay again!

Wonderful Beach House

Sarah was so easy to work with and made us feel very welcomed at the house. The property had every amenity and was clean and comfortable. Even the teenagers loved it! I hope we’ll have the chance to return soon.

Perfect Senior Retreat

This home was perfect for our retreat for 7 high school seniors and 2 moms. There was so much to do and they had so much fun exploring the house to see everything that was available to them. The bikes were a big hit! The location was perfect…just steps away from the beach. The hostess, Sarah, was great! Excellent communication and super helpful. I would highly recommend this beach house!

Family favorite

This beautiful home is perfectly located right across the street from the beach and is in a cute, slow paced neighborhood that we felt safe letting our kids ride bikes in. Everything was convenient, including a grocery store. The home was very clean, and in working condition. Our family of 8 was very comfortable with plenty of space. We loved all the beach games and equipment it came with as it saved us from having to purchase and pack a lot. Love Sarah. She’s a very kind, attentive host! Always answered me back right away with any questions I had. We will definitely be back!

Mom's 80th birthday family celebration

Our stay at the Silver Strand Beach House was everything we wanted it to be. The location was perfect with close proximity to the harbor, beach, walking trails and everything our family was interested in doing. Plenty of water toys, bikes, and beach gear for everyone. We had groceries delivered tothe house using Walmart and used Topers Pizza to cater a special dinner. The house was beautiful with special places for everyone to hang out and each room had its own style. Sarah was a fabulous host and easy to get a hold of if we had questions. We definitely plan on returning again. Thank you Sarah for the memories we made and for making my moms birthday celebration trip so special. Bonny

Amazing Beach House!

My family and our friends had the most wonderful weekend at this special house. We had 4 adults and 4 kids, and a dog and it was the perfect space. One family stayed on the ground floor and we stayed on the second. The kids loved playing mini golf and corn hole on the roof. Even with a full day of rain there were so many games and things to keep the kiddos occupied. At night we hung out by the fire pit on the roof after the kids went to sleep. It was so great. The beach is just across the street and the house is also very close to the neighborhood shops and restaurants. The house is incredibly stocked including the kitchen- you’ll have everything you need and more. The outdoor shower is so convenient for hosing down kids after the beach. And lastly Sarah, the host, was so accommodating and responded quickly, and was just the loveliest. We’ve visited Silver Strand every summer for the past few years and this is my favorite house that we stayed in. We hope to stay again next summer.

Perfect Beach Getaway!

We just wrapped up an amazing stay at this beach house, and it truly had everything you could possibly need for a fantastic beach vacation. We were so stoked by how well-stocked the place was. Beach towels? Check. Bikes, Beach chairs? Check. Boogie boards, blankets, games and a cart to haul everything? Double check. They thought of everything to make stay effortless and fun. Kitchen was dream for entertaining-plenty of dishes, gadgets, glassware to whip of a feast. Real star was the rooftop deck- watching sunsets, making s’mores- perfect way to end our days. Sarah is a most charming host, great communication, easy-peasy checkin and out. Couple of local spots to grab a coffee or bfast burrito were within walking distance. A local shop rented us a few spring wetsuits for kids which was super sweet of them bc water was chilly on July as expected. Safe neighborhood for kids to run back and forth bw beach and house. Highly recommend!

Perfect getaway for two families!

This was our first time staying in Oxnard and what a little gem of a town! The rental location was just one house and one small street away from the beach ... Literally steps away! Felt safe with our children crossing the street on their own. Definitely felt like our home away from home temporarily, since the house had the perfect number of beds, sleepers and pullouts to accommodate our two families of 4 adults and 6 kids (ages 8-18), plus a fully stocked kitchen and room for everyone to eat and play games together. We all took advantage of the boogie boards and bikes and sand toys... There were even beach blankets and chairs we could borrow to use on the beach. The rooftop deck was also a great bonus, where we made s'mores and had blankets and a gas fire pit table to keep us warm. And I can't say enough great things about how warm and accommodating the host Sarah was. Definitely a woman who cares about the guest experience and about making her home welcome and inviting to everybody. I love the eclectic decor! But mostly it was just having everything we could possibly need and more. And being a text/phone call away. Can't wait to book it again!

Perfect place for three couples

Six of us (3 couples) and one small dog stayed here over the New Year’s holiday and we had a great time. Although the rainy and windy weather meant little beach time and no time spent on the roof deck, the house is well-appointed and nicely decorated. A great place for cooking, playing games, watching movies, etc. The kitchen is very well stocked. The host was easy to communicate with and we had zero “issues” while at the property. We would recommend!

This is a great beach house! My family and I stayed here for a long weekend in July 2023. The house had alot of amenities; cooking pots/utensils, games, boogie boards, smart TVs, etc. which we took full advantage of. The prop manager is very responsive and nice. It is a very short walk from the beach and we walked there with our dog and boogie boards multiple times. Additionally, the house has 3 levels which is very nice with a functional fire pit on the roof. The lower level stays cool, while the 2nd level can get warm in the afternoons but cools down in the evening. This place was a great stay!

Awesome Beach Retreat

This place was awesome! We had a wonderful family gathering here with lots of cool spaces and toys for the nieces and nephews. The grown-ups enjoyed lounging around the roof deck fireplace, eating and chatting in the gorgeous open-plan living room and strolling to the beach barefoot. The kids played ping pong, shuffleboard, mini golf, board games and more. They boogie boarded, biked and even tried out the surf board. The house’s cool pop art design is stunning. Our host Sarah was super accessible and even left us a beautiful basket with wine and treats. We loved the area, did some shopping and eating out around Oxnard, walked to the harbor to watch the seals and had a great fish dinner in Ventura’s cute shopping district. We also took a boat trip out to the Channel Islands with Island Packers. We were delighted to see huge pods of dolphins swimming and jumping around the boat. We hiked and snorkeled on Santa Cruz Island and even saw a fox in the campground. It was a great gathering place. Thanks for everything Sarah!

Turquoise makes me happy!

Had an amazing 6 days at Sarah’s beach house! It is decorated with such style yet feels homey and comfy. Roof top is the best as well as the location…just a 2 minute walk to the ocean and the sunsets were amazing! Pepe’s burritos hit the spot after a day surfing and boogie boarding. And we loved biking all over. Great for our family and friends!
