"Very lovely apartment. It is very clean and comfortable. The location is great. The only hiccups was the “check-in system” was not working properly when we were doing the check in after the working hours. However, we managed to seek help from this bar at the lobby. The staff of the bar were very helpful! In a word, it was a pleasant stay and I would definitely recommend it. "

"Awesome place a block from historic Ljubljana. Comfortable mini apartments with a gated parking lot. We had the basement apartment 3 - maybe the smallest and we thought great place. Can only imagine the other ones. No on-site staff, but don’t let that stop you. Super responsive with messaging. And everything set up with coded key pads. And sent us list of recommended restaurants. Don’t miss the bars and restaurants near John the Baptist church close to Vila Emona."

"I can’t say enough good things about this place! Suzana was the hostess with the mostest; she was so accommodating with our request for a late check out in pouring rain with 2 pups. The location of the apartment building is very central yet quiet. Public Parking is 7 mins walk (apt is in the pedestrian zone), with plenty of dining options nearby as well as grocery stores. "An absolute treasure in Europe’s best hidden secret in Ljubljana. The host Grega provides everything you need to get to the place and what is good to see around. This makes it far easier for the traveller new to the town. The apartment overlooks the city river caving at the base of the castle. A large apartment it offers a large ensuites bedroom with an atrium and living room which was converted to the kids bedroom for our stay. The fully equipped kitchen is great for those wishing to cook up...

"The picture of the room is much brighter than the actual room. It's a below-ground room (but opens onto a lowered courtyard) and has a basement feel to it. There was a fair bit of street noise. We could have closed the window to reduce this, but then there'd be no air flow in the room. The shower stall is very small. The location is excellent."

"We had a great stay at Barrio Alto! The location was amazing for accessing the old city of Ljubljana. We loved being in walking distance to everything, including the castle. The apartment was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We loved the charm of the building as well. Parking was not an issue for us as we’re happy to walk a ways, but if you need to be able to park really close, be sure to look into the options provided by the host."
