Great location for convention center

The location is extremely convenient if you will be at the convention center. Grocery store, Walgreens, restaurants all within walking distance as well. The new pool area is very nice with a lot of seating.

Amazing Spot, But Needs a Bit of Love!

Pros: Vista Cay is a gorgeous resort with all the amenities and close to EVERYTHING and very safe! We loved staying here. Our unit was huge, bright and overlooked the lake. The property managers were so friendly, helpful and very responsive. There was some misunderstanding regarding the unit we were getting but everything was cleared up and made right. Cons: We were under the impression that this unit was newly and fully renovated which is not the case. Parts of it have been renovated but the doors and trim are beat up, the couch and table in the main living area is quite worn and the kitchen walls, cabinets and flooring need a serious deep clean. The kitchen utensils were cheap and flimsy (especially the knives) and the foam mattress in the master bedroom needs to be replaced, it has no support and we sunk right down to the bottom which was very uncomfortable. Despite these things, we were very happy with our unit and stay and especially the kindness and consideration of Denise and her husband. With a little more TLC this unit could be perfect!

Quiet and relaxing

The unit had just been remodeled and still had a bit of drywall dust on everything and the water to the dishwasher had not been connected. Neither of which were a big deal. I wiped down everything and let management know about the dishwasher. It was nice and quiet. Not far from the pool but far enough so you didn’t hear all the people. I cooked every night and there were enough pots and pans and a cookie sheet to accomplish that. Plenty of towels and dishes as well. Beds were comfy and bathrooms were nice and roomy and updated. We were attending an even at the Orange County Convention Center. So we walked it some days and other days we Ubered it for $8. Really enjoyable stay.

Wonderful holiday

Excellent place to stay as a family. Very clean, modern and nicely decorated with some nice added touches like a big box of chocolates! Check-in and check-out was quick and easy. We loved access to the pool and hot tub which is close by. Everything that you need is there. Definitely recommended!

To be or not to be!

While on the road to Florida with over 1,200 miles to go (flying was not an option) I received a message stating that our reservation was canceled. Trying not to panic we looked for a new place while on the road. Thank you, to Denice at the Vista Cay resort for helping us though our predicament. The stay was not as long as planned but we were happy to find something last minute for at least the first portion of our original request. We then chose to travel to the coast which actually worked well for us to finish our time in Florida. The place was quiet and pleasant. Thank you again Denice.

Not Recommended

This condo needs a major cleaning before it should be rented again. It smells awful. We couldn't figure out where the smell was coming from and nothing fixed it, we tried everything. We even bleached out the refrigerator because it smelled terrible. By the end of the week our clothes started to stink like it. Also, all of us saw small bugs walking along the baseboards. They may have been ants but they didn't look like it. Overall, a truly awful stay. I don't recommend this location.
