Beautiful outlook but beware Wednesday nights

From our balcony (Room 22 on third floor) we enjoyed a beautiful view of the Vecht. A spacious room although there are some features that could do with maintenance (eg timber floor on balcony) and provision of more shelving.

Erg gehorig, vergane glorie.

Heel gehorig hotel. Verder erg jammer dat bij het inchecken niet werd verteld dat de kamer niet schoongemaakt wordt. Dat moest speciaal aangevraagd worden. Aangevraagd voor de volgende dag, echter toen ook geen schoonmaak en geen schone handdoek. Melding bij receptie, daar zou het doorgeven worden. Volgende dag bij check out, wist men nergens van. De uitgebreide notitie was verdwenen. Badkamer was bij aankomst schoon, maar er stond nog shampoo v eerdere bezoeker. Het kozijn was al lange tijd niet in de hoeken schoongemaakt.

Deze accommodatie is best prijzig. Kamers zijn gedateerd. Voorzieningen zoals handzeep NIET aangevuld. Geen koffie aanwezig op de kamer. Jacuzzi was beslist lange tijd NIET schoongemaakt. Bij het inwerking stellen van de jets kwam er een vreselijke rioollucht mee. Kamers worden verhuurd inclusief ontbijt. Als er maar 1 persoon op de kamer verblijft, dan wordt hetzelfde bedrag in rekening gebracht als dat er met 2 personen op een kamer wordt verbleven. Dat voelt niet goed. Voor oudere mensen was de toiletpot wel heel laag bij de grond en de douche instap heel erg hoog. Wij hadden kamer 19 en daar was bijna geen waterdruk bij de wastafel. Bedden waren prima in orde.

Mooi hotel met sfeervol restaurant

De Zon is een mooi hotel aan de Vecht. Wij hadden een kamer met Vechtzicht. Het bed, een boxspring , sliep goed. Het ontbijt was goed en werd op tijd aangevuld. Vanwege het hoge water konden we geen gebruik maken van de parkeerplaats aan de andere kant van de weg. De auto mochten we parkeren bij het Chinese restaurant.

Fijne overnachting

Fijne overnachting. Vriendelijk personeel en lekker ontbijt. We kregen een upgrade voor een vechtzichtkamer, erg leuk:-). Het is superfijn dat de hond mee kon ( 25 euro per nacht extra voor betalen vonden wij veel). Wel heerlijk gewandeld in de mooie omgeving.

Niet voldaan aan verwachtingen en potentie

Mooie plek en ligging. Mijn verbljif viel tegen door een niet werkende verwarming (aankomst 12 graden, in de avond 17/18). Meerdere keren gemeld helaas weinig communicatie en servicegerichtheid van de medewerkers* Belangrijk om te weten dat ze een eigen toeristenbelasting tarief hebben (€5/p/n ipv. 1.10) die niet overeenkomt met hetgeen vantevoren gemeldt wordt. De suite was zeker mooi met uitzicht en ligbad en een goed bed. *Een paar dagen na verblijf ben ik gebeld door een manager die een lunch heeft aangeboden voor het feit dat kamer anderhalf dag onder kamertemperatuur was....

We hebben het verblijf als zeer prettog ervaren, mede door de mooie ligging en uitzicht aan de Vecht vanaf het terras en vanuit uit het restaurant. Heerlijk gegeten. Alleen.... we hebben zowel bij de afrekening van de kamer als van het diner, de gepresenteerde rekening moeten corrigeren omdat er niet juiste, te hoge bedragen, op stonden. Hadden we niet verwacht van dit goede hotel.
