During our stay, we experienced noise from neighboring guests who didn't observe the quiet hours, and being on the ground floor, we could hear foot traffic from other guests throughout the night."

"Host was fantastic. Great gathering places, comfortable furniture, having the pool was amazing, kitchen was well equipped, good supplies. The host has thought of so many convenient details with outside light timers, plenty of pool umbrellas, and many other things that just made it comfortable without having to think about it :). "We had a great 4-night stay on Bay Ave. The location is excellent, with an easy walk to several restaurants and bars, and as easy a drive to Sandy Hook as you can get. Enjoyed having a front and back porch, and had fun getting silly and playing ice hockey on a rainy day. There were a couple of things about the house that could’ve been better, but overall it’s a great place to stay if you’re looking to enjoy the Highlands area. "

"Fabulous, new, spacious, well appointed home. Perfect for our family reunion. Loved the outdoor space and plenty of room for parking. Kitchen was perfect for our huge family feasts. Just loved our stay and want to come back. Owner was totally on top of things and so pleasant and accommodating. "

"This is a VERY CLEAN, COZY PLACE TO STAY. Pictures are exactly what it looks like. Steps from the Ocean and boardwalk,plenty of free parking. breakfast was cooked to order with many options & plentiful . The house manager Bernadette is the warmest, kind person she really goes the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable and even offers a snack for the ride home . thank you for a wonderful stay! Will be back one day "

"We only stayed for one night but I hated to leave! The property was located directly across the street from a beautiful and uncrowded ocean beach. There were several great restaurants within a mile. The property also has its own restaurant and bar with a simple menu. The room was spacious and spotless. The view of the river from the huge picture window in our room was breathtaking. We were able to watch the sun set over the river from our room or from chairs by the pool or from the restaurant. Our room did not face the ocean, but there was an open area just down the hall where we could view the sun rise over the beach and ocean. Tips on reserving a room: Our room was a "Premium River View" room located in the newer building. I have seen reviews online suggesting that standard rooms in the "older" building may not be as well maintained as those in the newer 4 story building where we stayed. Ocean view rooms with balcony are pricier than river view, but not necessarily worth the additional cost due to road noise when the balcony door is open."
