Bygone museums, craft centres, National Trust parks and homes of Blickling and Felbrigg Halls are all within an easy drive. City of Norwich is just 16 miles away and has a magnificent cathedral, castle museum, art galleries, cinemas, theatre, cafés, fine restaurants, and excellent shopping.
Blakeney Quay and Morston Harbour located further along the north Norfolk coast offer seal watching boat trips and pubs and restaurants serving superb locally caught seafood. Fishing is available (in season with licence) at Sea Palling, Waxham, Cromer and Sheringham beaches, alongside the River Bure for river fishing and many lakes.
