"The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The room was clean.The bathroom was a little small, but the beds were comfortable.There was an armchair and a desk chair, which was great as we were visiting family.There was a good size pool, and it was clean. The lobby, outdoor area, bar and restaurant were attractive.The food was very good. The complimentary breakfast was great! The price was reasonable, and we were able to bring our small dogs. We'll definitely stay the next time we visit Marshall."

"Terrific little historic hotel with a lot of vintage charm. Right downtown -- walking distance to the river, nearby casinos, and (in our case) the Mudbug Madness Festival. The staff was particularly warm and inviting -- offering terrific local advise and they went out of their way to make us feel welcome. This place should be on your radar screen when visiting Shreveport!"
