"We like to stay at La Quinta hotels, but this converted Hampton Inn doesn't live up to La Quinta standards, from our experience. Our first clue was the front automatic sliding glass doors were inoperative, so we had to pry them open to get to the front desk, and every time after as we came and went. The check in went quickly and the clerk was friendly. The elevator doors were scratched and the ride was slow and jerky. We wondered if we were going to get stuck. The room furnishings were dated. The air conditioning was cool but did not remove humidity, so the surfaces, sheets and carpet felt damp. The bathroom vanity and tub were stained, chipped and worn. The toilet had a pressure flush that sent a small geyser into the air. The bathroom vent did not remove moisture and all surfaces were wet like morning dew. It took 15 minutes running the bath water for it to get barely warm enough for a shower. The morning breakfast was good but only one of the four juice dispensers worked and there was no fresh fruit. Once again, nothing at this converted Hampton Inn seemed up to snuff with what we're used to at La Quinta hotels. "
