Run down, homeless directly outside of hotel

We chose this hotel because of its uniqueness and its location in the heart of Sacramento. We found it to be lovely, restful, and great for walking. On the way to Sacramento we read some less-than-great reviews, so were a bit apprehensive when we arrived, but found that we had everything we needed. There was no staff member on-site in the evening, and we had no unmet needs, but we were given a number to text if we needed anything. We were on the second floor, and found that it took the hot water a while to arrive, but we eventually did get good, hot water for showers. Our biggest problem was parking, which can add quite a bit to the price of the room. If you do feel you have found free parking, be sure to check the signs, especially those written in red. We made the mistake of parking in a good space on a day that was prohibited because of street cleaning, and the parking ticket is very expensive.

Beautiful rooms, comfortable beds, staff is so helpful. Love the decor throughout the hotel. 10 out of 10 will stay here again.

This hotel is a diamond in the rough. Absolutely spotless but definitely in a need of some updates. However if you take out the decor elements out of it, it is a lovely hotel to stay out. First of all the staff is outstanding. The lady who checked us in asked why were staying in Sacramento and I told we were here to see Moulin Rouge. She then suggested we use their stuttlle service and he would take and pick us up in front of the theater and so we did. Our driver was friendly and drove us safely there...win..win.. The next morning they served a Continental breakfast and the lady who stocked the food was absolutely a doll. So friendly plus made us hot delicious waffles. We will definitely be back. Enjoyed our stay plus the price of the room was fantastic. Side note only about 10 minutes away from IKEA 😍
