「Quiet and lovely. We had a wonderful stay. I would stay there again with pleasure」

「This is an awesome beachfront hotel. The beach is long and wide and easy to walk with lots of seashells and sand dollars. The room is updated, clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and friendly. It was nice to have free drinks and a nice espresso machine in the lobby. There’s a big friendly dog there too. The only drawback is the rooms are very close together and the walls are a bit thin so it can be noisy, depending on the neighbors. But on the other hand, it’s kind of an...

「Valerie was a great host, very welcoming and friendly. Really enjoyed, and needed, the breakfast foods she provided, since it was raining when we got there and didn’t have time to go to the store. Eggs, coffee, creamer, yogurt, pastries, were all wonderful. The neighborhood is cute, with a dog park and stores near by. We visited The City of 10,000 Buddha’s, which we enjoyed very much. If you are traveling with a dog, this place is perfect.」

「This was a wonderful “cottage“ feel cabin. Beautifully appointed, well equipped with air-conditioning, heating, television, and a coffee maker. Quiet little neighborhood where perhaps the most rewarding experience was getting to know the alpacas in the backyard. We can’t wait to return.」

「Can't recommend this place enough! It's located in a great neighborhood that felt safe and comfortable anytime of day/night. Lovely views of arcata from the yard and a short walk up the road to the community forest. We've stayed here multiple times and will continue to use Baxters for future visits. 」

「Calderwod was lke being home while away in a cool place. The inn is classic, the folks - in particular Kiki, the manager - were more than helpful and friendly. So many little hidden places to sit and enjoy. Breakfast was as good as advertised. And just close enough to the plaza and town.」
