"We enjoyed our stay at this clean and nicely decorated house. It had all the comforts of home with all the kitchen appliances, pots, pans and utensils you need. A very comfortable bed/bedroom and daybed. One bathroom had a shower and the other bathroom a shower head and a bathtub which I always indulge in a good hot bath after a busy day walking around. We especially enjoyed the privacy of the enclosed courtyard with a table and chairs where reading and drinking a glass of wine by the outdoor fireplace was relaxing. This home is within walking distance (just a block or so away) from the cute and quaint little town with souvenir shops, clothing boutiques, restaurants, delicious ice cream and frozen bananas on a stick, a museum and a grocery store to name a few of the variety of places to go. We loved that some of the shops were open until at least 7:30 pm not to mention the restaurants that were open late. I often walked to town by myself at night and felt totally safe and secure.We enjoyed walking around the beautiful, calming and serene neighborhood that went around the bay and a quick and easy walk to the ferry where we caught a short ride to the Fun Zone and enjoyed ourselves there before catching the ferry back. This was our first trip to Balboa Island and our first stay at this lovely home but hopefully not our last! We will be back and will recommend it to family and friends."

"Great location for beach access and Balboa touristy activities. It was a clean unit, no insects (not even the prevalent sugar ants in this area!), and we loved the kitchen for cooking our own meals. The host sent additional flatware before we arrived to accommodate our family of 6. We also loved having garage parking and on-site laundry for our stay. There was plenty of bedding, towels, beach towels, toilet paper, garbage bags. This is an older unit, and the furniture and accessories reflect that. The sofas could use a thorough steam cleaning. The beds/mattresses are VERY loud/creaky and stiff. Also the walls are thin and we could hear our next-door neighbors several times each night on both sides coughing/using the bathroom (which means they could probably hear us, too). If you plan to use the garage, make sure you get the garage code BEFORE you arrive. I texted the host when we arrived and didn't hear back for almost 24 hours for the code. Luckily we figured out an alternative before that. Also if you have a larger or high clearance vehicle, beware you may need to push/prop up the garage door - we have a Toyota Sequoia with a standard roof rack and couldn't fit without scraping so had to manually lift the garage door up to pull in/out each time. Overall we enjoyed our stay. But we didn't spend a lot of time in the unit besides eating/sleeping. It does have a very small patio, but no direct sunlight or any view besides neighbor walls. Something to keep in mind! :)"

"Perfect for our girls weekend with 6 people. Great location for walking and enjoying the view from the big picture window. We were out and about all day, and really just slept here, and hung out in the morning and evenings a bit. Small kitchen, but served our needs for breakfast in. Walking to shops and Resturant's was easy. Super small parking spot, for one car- we were worried about finding street parking but were lucky to find spots easily every day! (Maybe harder other times if the year?) Comfortable beds, nice showers. "

"Great host. Always replied to my messages very quickly and was very helpful. The place was very clean and close to all the activities in the area. It was well-stocked with cooking supplies, linens, towels, etc. For me, the only thing missing was a blender, as I enjoy making smoothies. The jet noise took me awhile to adjust to, but I am more sensitive to noise than most people."
