If you can make peace with inability to control thermostat, this is a good stay in financial district with convenience store, subway, battery park, 911 museum and stock exchange in walkable distance

The hotel gave me a room that was unsafe and was not properly cleaned, nor did it have air conditioning on one of the hottest days of the year. The hotel, then proceeded to fault me for arriving late to the hotel and try to use that as an excuse for the poor room conditions. We will be sure to escalate this experience.

Beware! There are no sheets on the bed unless specifically requested (only light weight comforter). The TVs are old and are not smart TVs. The beds are very low profile and the mattress is hard as concrete. The entire hotel is very old and in need of major updates and modernization. The bathroom and shower is all black tile and leaks horribly into the room. The room needs more mirrors if you have more than one person trying to get ready. The front desk and housekeeping never answered the phone our entire stay so we had to go find someone to make requests needed for the room. The restaurant is closed so there is no room service. Access to the guest floors in the hotel is not secure so anyone from the streets can wonder the hallways. The gym was lacking good equipment. Would not stay here again.

Our family of 5 stayed here (kids ages 11,9,7) and the room was spacious with a great shower, ability to control the room temperature, black out blinds to cover the large windows with a great view. We didn't go to the hotel restaurant as there were many options nearby. We needed extra blankets, pillows, and some glasses and they were quickly delivered. We would definitely stay again!

Overall the hotel was in the middle of everything we needed. The hotels' bar was closed or under construction I guess so we didn't get to indulge there. The beds are super low so it you have any issues with that, not the place to be. otherwise everything else was nice.
