The Space:

Welcome to your perfect family getaway located in the heart of Bell Block, just a short stroll from Bell Block Beach and the award-winning scenic coastal walkway. This spacious home is nestled in a quiet private cul-de-sac, making it an ideal retreat for families looking to explore the beautiful region of New Plymouth.



Family Fun is designed to accommodate up to eight guests comfortably, featuring an indoor heated swimming pool and spa pool for year-round enjoyment. The property is pet-friendly, so feel free to inquire about bringing your furry friends along.

- Guests are required to leave the property tidy, with all dishes washed and the dishwasher loaded

Family break

Very spacious property, our boys loved the heated pool and spa. Getting access to the property was difficult, the access code did not get sent to us, it took 3 phone calls to finally get the code around 2 hours after the check in time. Appeared that the property manager did not believe us that the code had not been sent.

Comfortable Stay

The property was tired and dirty, there were dead bugs inside and dog poo on the back lawn. The pool had a lot of dead bugs too. It was comfortable, and, the linen was clean, and lots of space for a big family/group to spread out in.

A kingdom of your own

The whole place was amazing. Felt like arriving to a holiday resort. Plenty of room for everyone. Safety issues with children and pools were very well adressed. Felt safe. Pool area could have used an update to make it even more luxurious. There was a construction site next door but it did not bother us that much. The overall look had aged a bit from the pictures but we enjoyed our stay anyway.

Excellent family experience

Nice house with lots of space and everything you need for a family stay. The pool was great entertainment for the kids and the spa was nice and relaxing for the adults.

Spacious living + fleas

Plenty of space and rooms. Lively pool and spa. Great heating. But unfortunately after a few nights we discovered the place was full of fleas. Everyone got bitten and spent one of the days vacuuming the hole house several times and stripping beds and washing sheets etc. A number of large cockroaches also running around. Our overseas family also found these critters went with them in their suitcases to our next destination. When we phoned the property manager they didn’t seem to care. I pity the next visitors that stayed the night we left as I’m sure nothing would have been done about it. The place needed fumigating.

Womens Retreat

We chose this property because it had the spa and pool and the amount of beds we needed. A couple of the ladies were thrilled with the pool the rest of us enjoyed the spa. It wasn't hot enough though and none of us knew how to turn it up. We thought it must have been on a timer as the temperature was warm the first afternoon, but not warm enough later in night. A nice comfortable home. Enough space to be alone or come together. Great big dining room for games and dining. Comfortable lounge. A couple of things weren't available in the kitchen we thought were basic kitchen equipment but have left a note, so hopefully that's been rectified. All in all a lovely stay.

Brilliant house -loved the spa & pool

Fantastic place for family loads of room & beds. The pool was awesome cause it was indoors & heated. The kids just loved it. We will definitely stay again

Daughters wedding

Wonderful large property. Perfect for ourselves, our daughter and her bridesmaids to prepare for a Taranaki wedding. 2 large bathrooms, full kitchen, large living areas. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great pool but property Not upkept

Although it was ok, it’s old and things have deteriorated a lot. Cleanliness of bedding was great, but floors not so much. Left over spills of previous guests not cleaned. If your standard isn’t high it will be fine.

Perfect whānau get away

We (partner, 4x kids and myself) had our parents with us as we attended a family members 80th birthday in Waitara. The pool, separate tv rooms, and quiet location was just what we needed. Definitely recommend and would book again.
