"The stay was poorly managed from start to finish, despite being booked well in advance.
At check-in, I was incorrectly asked to pay an additional €150. Although this charge was later withdrawn, being greeted with an unjustified fee is an unacceptable way to start a stay and immediately undermines trust. This should never have happened with a confirmed reservation.
The room itself had several issues. The shower drains so poorly that during normal use the entire bathroom floods. A repair was scheduled for 1:00 PM; I adjusted my day to be available, but no one showed up and there was no communication or follow-up. The heating was inconsistent and uncomfortable, especially given the season, and a bedside reading light was broken on arrival.
Housekeeping was also unreliable. On the first day, service did not come at all. On the second day, the front desk was informed that we would leave the room around 1:00 PM, yet housekeeping came at 10:00 AM, woke me up, and never returned later, even after we left.
I want to be clear that my frustration was not directed at front-line staff. They were polite, and I even shared food with them as a personal gesture. My feedback is strictly about management, preparation, and follow-through.
None of these issues alone would have ruined the stay, but the accumulation of errors, missed appointments, and lack of coordination made the experience consistently disappointing."
