Excellent village pub with great staff and atmosphere that matches its surroundings and in keeping with good old inn values. The chef provides a great variety of flavors and quality dishes all served hot and on hot plates. The stairs are somewhat challenging for the elderly and mobility impaired. I didn’t realize when booking that I could have requested a ground floor room. My bad - should have read the small print. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

We enoyed the doubly “smart” room — both the clean, modern decor and the motion-activated automatic lights for the main stairs (though they take time to come on) and the bathroom (shut the bathroom door when not in use so you don’t trigger those lights when you walk around in your room). Also appreciated the towel warming rack, and the frosted bathroom windows. The room was very comfortable and quiet, as Grimston is a tiny village in a rural area. Excellent service and the food was fantastic. Great surroundings and restful and quiet sleep. Great place to be in

Comfortable rooms. Staff friendly and helpful. Nice pool and lots of food options.

This B&B was absolutely wonderful! The room was spacious, we stayed in the Nelson. Pillows and bed were very good. Cute little pub next door was a nice touch.

Very quaint village hotel, dating from the 1600s. Updated nicely, but stairs are very steep. I loved my top floor room with dormer windows. Updated En-suite bath! Lovely original beam ceiling.

Fantastic stay. This is the second time there and each time the rooms are very clean. The restaurant has great food and pub on site. Staff are very friendly. Parking is super easy and close to the rooms. It’s a lovely place and I will definitely stay there again.

Great property and easy to find. Had to request towels for the unit and no hair dryer available.

the free eggs benedict was the best ive ever had, hotel was beautuful and so much charactor, wonderful staff, clean roon, and even offered Netflix!

It is unique in the sense that it is out in the country on a country road at least 1,000’ from a major highway.....nice and peaceful. The traffic in roads to/from Cambridge

Just had a single night here but the bed and room were very comfortable. Slept like a baby haha

Sue and Clive have a well deserved good reputation. We wanted an immersive English countryside experience in a 400 year old Inn, and that is what we got. A delicious full English breakfast is included in the room price.
