Staff was super! Location could not be better. Guest rooms were clean, but very small! The common areas were very tired and unclean. The continental breakfast was insufficient...No fruit, lackluster, running out of items before the end of serving hours. If you can't make breakfast better, don't offer it. The whole place is a grand old lady who needs someone to really care about her!

Beautifully hotel with very professional and helpful staff. A quick walk from the ferry dock. Easy walking to shopping, harbor and restaurants. The breakfast in the morning is super fresh and delicious!

Perfectly located in town. Staff was extremely helpful with information and recommendations. AC in the room was weak, but not unbearable.

The mattress on our bed was very saggy. Also our room was hot and there was no way to control the temperature other than to run the noisy air conditioner. The bedding was a heavy duvet. We did not sleep well.

We visited in early May, so it was off season. Breakfast consisted of pastries, yogurt, and cereal, which was enough to get you going in the morning. It was a great location to walk around town. We walked to all the shops and restaurants in town... probably 3 times each. We found two large umbrellas in our closet which wasvery nice since it rained while we were on island.

The Jared coffin house has maintained its old fashioned charm and it was the wonderful service and location that would truly encourage us to stay again! Bikes included and a nice low key breakfast in the am. Lovely time!

Breakfast was help yourself to whatever was available. Bagels were not refreshed daily. Not what I would call 'bed and breakfast'. Decor could do with updating. Wallpaper peeling and carpets stained. Location was great but not much open in March, including the hotel bar.

The hotel bar you mentioned, is a separate management, they only rent the space from us and with limited staff during the time of year that you visited, it is almost impossible to run a full service restaurant. I am sorry too, that the breakfast was not as expected - in the summer we do a full breakfast with baked goods that I am sure you would enjoy should you visit during the peak season.

This property advertised bed and breakfast; however, the breakfast consisted of stale bagels and microwave cereal. The dining area floor was dirty and full of crumbs, the common area dining table was not wiped down, the room temperature was impossibly hot (78 degrees!), the thermostat in the room was unresponsive, there was no ice in the ice machine, the hallway carpeting was dirty and stained.

Centrally located, friendly staff, large rooms
The king room was surprisingly large, with a couch, desk and large TV. Spacious bathroom, though the tub/shower combo could use a face lift. 24 hour coffee, tea, water and snacks. Not a giant selection, but nice to have the option. Location is excellent - right between ACK Bar and Brotherhood of Thieves.

Beware the Jared Coffin: which wing???
It was NOT the Jared Coffin. An adjoining building from the 80s, absolutely not sound proof. No temperature control in the room. Dismal bathroom. The price was off season, but not reasonable for the dingy setting. Noise level from other rooms was horrible

Perfect location
Amazing! Location was perfect for everything we wanted to do and see. Room and bathroom are small and there are no blinds on window, just a top window shutter. But we had a great time, people are great, breakfast is delicious, many choices. And they carried our bags ( no elevator) and drove us to the ferry. Couldn’t ask for more.

The hotel is lovely, but could use a deep cleaning. It was less than spotless, but tolerable. The porter was a friendly fellow, but the desk clerk seemed unable to smile.
