Yah, the glowing online reviews are pretty accurate. The breakfast at this place surpasses the ones in Vegas easily. Ample seafood including ikura, sake, champagne.. it was bonkers. We also thoroughly enjoyed the Onsen, especially the outdoor Bossanova lounge. Was surreal to see steam rising from the bathes while you gazed at the stars above in the night sky. Probably the only con is that the buffet was so awesome there really wasn’t a point to eat at the stellar Hakodate morning market, which is a very first world problem! I’ve already heartily recommended this place to my friends and family.

The hotel was a bit outdated, but well maintained and clean. Amenities were thoughtful and easy to find. We were invited to help ourselves to combs, hair ties, cotton pads, and extra yukatas to borrow. LThere was a sauna, jet bath, and an outside bath overlooking the ocean(roten buro). Staff were courteous and helpful. I was glad choosing the option including the breakfast, which was amazing, and had a variety of traditional Japanese, American, and dessert foods.

スタッフの方々はとても丁寧に対応して下さり快適に過ごすことができました。 事前に説明された通り、建物の構造上、防音に関しては少し隣の部屋の音が聞こえることがありましたが、問題ないレベルでした。 昆布風呂はとても面白い経験で、良い思い出になりました。
