Not the best house we stayed in nor the worst house (we've been coming to The Village at Nags Head since 1991). The house appears to have seen some renovation, which may account for some awkward arrangements (e.g., the fridge door won't open all the way, one cupboard is hard to reach, etc.). The VR Management responded quickly to the AC failure with window units but the owners' insistence on using their own handyman to address the basic problem delayed the resolution. The must smell signaled by another guest was a useful warning; strong smell in some rooms and the basement. The plates, which are virtually in every house, need to be changed; they are a burn hazard if used in the microwave. Plastic wine glasses hardly match the class of the property. Finally, the bottleneck design of the driveway makes it very hard to back out; it could be widened.
