"Excellent aparthotel, a 7 minute walk away from the Sloterdijk railway station. There are trains from here to Amsterdam Centraal every 10 minutes (or less during rush hours). It's a 6 minute train ride and costs € 3 if you use the NS app. There's also a Jumbo grocery store across the street and some restaurants nearby in this quiet, residential neighbourhood. The apartment was spacious, modern and clean. Breakfast was good. Our only negative comment would be about the €15 per hour early check-in fee which felt a bit like nickel and diming. We travelled to several cities in Belgium and The Netherlands for a month and this was the only hotel that charged us for that. Also be aware of the very high city tax in Amsterdam. It varies depending on the day of the week and ranges between €15 and €22 per day even though this hotel is not located in the city centre. Not the hotel's fault but pretty outrageous compared to other cities like Paris or London."

"Location. Location. Location. My family of 4 stayed in the top floor apartment and it was perfect for us! We did suffer from pretty bad jet legs but it was a perfect place to have it as I could just sit and stare out the windows or grab some food and drinks downstairs while my family slept or vice versa. And we’re definitely away from tourists areas and we just got to relax and see locals get some sun and swim in the river. A short walk to the tram was good and we enjoyed the restaurants in the town area. The whole area seems very new and there were some canals being built out and the building and amenities were very new and nice. Only challenge was there might’ve been some cultural differences in how we joked with each other but staff members were friendly and helpful. And my in-room massage was very reasonable and very helpful in letting my body get over the jet lag. Overall, it was a wonderful stay! Oh! The July! Water those poor plants in the room!"

"Having never visited Amsterdam until now, we were not sure what to expect. The staff at Westcord Art Hotel Amsterdam were all so accommodating and helpful, it made our stay shere such a delight. As for the hotel itself, it was lovely, clean, pleasant and a place I will definitely come back to. Well done Westcord!!!"

Best Western Zaan Inn, Amsterdam – Zaandam

8/10 Good

"Very decent hotel for the price, staff were great, I thought that the room could be better maintained - I had to ask for coffee, shampoo, and the lock was glitching. Location is amazing - just a short walk from Zaandam train station, the suite was also well planned with ample living space. They don't have a cooktop in case you think they do, though theey have small kitchen and tiny fridge."
