I loved it here. Super peaceful and did a night walk with no worries. The air conditioning was phenomenal and the water pressure was great.

It could definitely be cleaner we had spider webs on top of the lamp, the twin bed sheets or mattress cover were dirty, floor not clean had a lot of dust and the bathroom was definitely dirty the bathtub was also dirty. Other than that it was a good stay the surrounding of nature is beautiful.

We stayed in one of the cabins it was clean and comfortable. The park was beautiful! We did not see a place for a private fire at the cabin area, just a community fire pit.

The cabins are not fancy but very adequate. The bed was fine. For us the main attraction was the outdoors. Quiet. Good walking trails of varying difficulty. The are signs of upkeep not being done probably due to a shortfall of state funding but the critical things are being cared for. We were there for only two nights and was a very nice place for a little getaway.

The trundle bed only had a bottom sheet that was dirty and stained. There were cobwebs in the light fixtures. Nice location but the room needed a good cleaning.

Really cool CCC-made cabins that are so solid. Cool inside but they have AC and a gas fireplace with a small fridge and TV with digital channels. LOTS of character. Some false ladybugs and you may get a visit from a resident mouse but put a granola bar out for her and she’ll party in the bathroom and stop making noise in the bedroom. The restaurant food is really good—try the fish fry! And the area is beautiful and great for walking/hiking, birding, and fishing/wading. Plenty of parking.

The park is beautiful. We arrived at 3 pm and were given keys to our cabin. We were staying for a wedding that was on the grounds. We needed to get ready for the wedding but when we got in our cabin the bed was a mess. Trash was all over. The bathroom was covered in dirty towels. It had never been cleaned. We found out later at the reception that we were not the only guests that this happened to. Cleaners showed up- I told them that we had put our things inside. They cleaned and left. Shortly after that we opened the refrigerator to get the drinks/snacks we brought. They were gone. The cleaner took them. The next day we were meeting the wedding party at the lodge for their buffet breakfast. The food was not very good and the walls were covered in spider webs with dead bugs. And the breakfast was ridiculously expensive It was not clean and the whole place smells musty/moldy and is nasty dirty.

Definitely rustic. Cozy cabin that was outdated, but generally clean. If you’re looking for an outdoor experience, this is a good place. Two issues stand out for us: 1) the “queen” bed was horrible. It seemed it was for Lilliputians. My wife and I are practically beat each other all night. All things considered, sleeping should be comfortable. For this reason alone we would not sleep here again. 2) the air conditioning vent blew right on us. It was either hot or freezing. Nice park to visit, but wouldn’t stay here.
