"The check in process was a little difficult as we didn’t have good internet and there was no front desk staff, so check your email while you’re in route as they send information day of. The hotel is an older style well maintained lodge. The bed was very comfortable and the view was amazing. We had no hot water until the morning. There is a basic free breakfast with some pastries, cereal, yogurt and decent coffee. The restaurant has good burgers and some good local beers. Our room opened up to a shared balcony that was really nice for viewing the sunrise over the lake. I would definitely stay here again."

"We had a wonderful experience at Motel Long Lake & Cottages! Jennifer and the entire staff went above and beyond to make our stay truly special. Their attention to detail, genuine hospitality, and exceptional service made us feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived. This place is truly a hidden gem in the Adirondacks. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, relaxing getaway with people who genuinely care about their guests. We’re already looking forward to returning again and again!"

"Beautiful area where we stayed--very remote and quiet. Deer popped up on the property and ate up the apple we gave her with relish. The house itself was what I believe a traditional mountain cabin should look like--- and very homey. The bed was also very comfortable, and we both got some terrific sleep there.Everything we needed for our stay was provided and it was perfectly located between Inlet and Eagle Bay with easy access to all the restaurants in both towns not to mention all the hiking trails that are also close by.Highly recommend this vacation spot to all who love ADK."
Cranberry Lake New York - Year Round Cottage

"This place was a dream. It was the quiet I needed in a place that I love. Laying out on the upstairs balcony in the dark looking up at the stars will be a memory that gets me through stress at home. The cabin was cozy, but roomy. Definitely space for 6. The cabin is across the street from the lake shore, but an easy walk down through the owner's property. The Cranberry Lake primitive state park trails are a short walk away along with a plethora of other trails to pick from within a short drive. My dog and I hiked 20 miles on one day alone with rarely a person in site...unlike the High Peaks this time of year! Only down side was that I did not receive an email to help me know how to get in (as stated in the Orbitz site). The owner was available by phone to assist, but cell phone connection can be touchy, so a secure email with details would have been helpful to refer to. If that is not possible, then it should not be stated as such on the Orbitz or Vrbo sites. Also, for rainy day entertainment, you will need your own wifi, games, or a few good books to read. Definitely a place to go back to!"

"LOVE all the woodwork (knotty pine and wainscot!), the first floor space is fabulous!HUGE table (and multiple tables) as my/our group LOVES complex board games on rainy days. No joke, they played one for 8 hours when it rained ALL day on a Friday!Bedrooms are a reasonable size.We all cook in our group... but there was no blender or really any parts for the mixer... curiously few cooking tools/hotpads/etc....so odd to us. We are used to other people's kitchens being organized strangely, but had a hard time finding things. Cupboards/storage were great. Dishwasher, stove/oven (induction stove!!! Thank you, I have wanted to try one), etc. good.... but we have some rather tall people in our group and the cooking vent/light corners kept hitting them in the forehead! It could be raised about 4-6 inches.... If you are tall, just be careful.Lots of great deck space, and lots of stairs to get there... good emergency lights and multiple emergency exits!Close proximity to some good hiking trails, shops and other useful / helpful / enjoyable places, but REALLY on top of other properties! Light from other properties and street lights may be an issue for some.WIFI was good.Few paper supplies, soap etc., be prepared to bring/buy your own. It's not a hotel."
