"I stayed at this run-down motel in the Poconos where the experience fell far short of expectations. The bathtub was dirty, which made the bathroom feel unclean and uncomfortable. The receptionist at the front desk assisted us while wearing a bathrobe and pajamas, which came across as unprofessional for a hotel check-in setting. During check-in, she claimed there was no reservation under our name, but when I mentioned I would call Expedia and showed her the email receipt on my phone, she miraculously found it. To top it off, there was no hot water, forcing us to take cold showers and deal with the disruption to our plans and comfort."

"I stayed at The Swiftwater, and unfortunately, it wasn’t family-friendly as we expected. Kids had to leave the pool after 5 p.m., but this wasn’t mentioned on the website. Beyond that, customer service was lacking. Staff rarely smiled or engaged with us, and when we went to the bar after last call, there was no effort to accommodate even a simple request. While the property itself is beautiful and new, the hospitality was disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend it for families, and I think management needs to make major changes in staffing and approach."

"The rooms weren’t the cleanest. Areas of the room had cobwebs, residue from might have been from wear and tear in high traffic areas of the room. It felt like your resort is understaffed. As for breakfast and overall options, most of your menu choices weren’t available. "

"Beautiful long-weekend rental for a boys weekend. Home was clean, check-in was seamless. Wonderful amenities as well. Full kitchen, multiple bathrooms for our many guests. Great host communication, would happily come back!"

"The hotel itself is pretty solid, especially for the price, it looks like they’re slowly fixing everything up as the pool and some machines are out of order, but the staff is always busy. Would definitely book again, just keep in mind the rooms are old but they’re still great and comfy to relax and have fun. "
