Solid golf course (Lakeview) for beginners or people who aren’t great at golf. Fairways are open and easy to stay in. Hotel was solid, friendly staff, easy commute to Cooper’s Rock, WVU, restaurants around. Shower pressure was a bit light but did the job. Highly recommend

Everything was great! Bed could have been better.. we had a king that sunk in the middle. Definitely needs to be updated with a fresh coat of paint. The bar was beautiful and the bartender was very helpful in planning what to do in the area. We would go back for sure! Absolutely beautiful scenery.

The facility is lodge and we liked that we could see the golf course. The resort lobby looks beautiful, but our room was dated. There is no mini-fridge or microwave in the room, unfortunately. Beds were comfortable and our room was clean. Security seems scary. We used a back door (closest to our room) to the resort that is never locked and not lit well. Halls and stairs do not have adequate lighting. Carpet in halls smells musty and old. Watch out for giant potholes in the parking lot.

The furniture and the thermostat are broken. Moth are functional but physically broken. The tub in the master bathroom had a scum on all surfaces. The sliding deck doors don’t lock but were secured with boards in the slide rails. The fridge was functional but extremely load.

Great stay for the price. Recent reviews spoke negatively about the indoor pool but it was clean and we enjoyed it! Rooms are basic and dated but you can’t beat it for the price, especially during football season

Pleasant stay.

Pleasantly surprised as we went for WVU family weekend. This got us out of the campus and into the beautiful country. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Hotel was quiet. Price was also reasonable. Surrounding area was just beautiful. Nice areas along the Cheat. Would stay here again without hesitation.

Pool was out of order. Annoying, but not the worst part of the stay. The bathroom in my room had several issues. There was initially no hot water. It was after 8 pm by the time maintenance fixed it. The sink drained very slowly. The toilet was loose and movable. Wallpaper was peeling and lots of mold on the wall around the shower. Even if I trusted in room coffee pots, I still couldn’t use it because of missing parts. The worst thing was finding dirt in the melted ice this morning. It was left in the bucket after filling my cup last night with that ice and drinking from the cup all night long. Lots of dirt. The staff was friendly but no response yet from my email to management.

The main hotel is undergoing renovations, which are very much needed. There was no one at the front desk on Thanksgiving Day when I arrived and no one within shouting distance. I got someone when I called the hotel number. Eventually someone came to the desk and cheerfully checked me in. Not her fault; appeared to be skeleton staff on slow day.

Absolutely stunning location, full of beauty. Close to major roads but feels quiet and secluded. We will definitely visit again in-season but this is a phenomenal spot to stay for a day or two when traveling from the Midwest to the Northeast.
