"Rooms need repair. Bed frame was broken. Wall paper was peeling off the wall. Continental breakfast would have been fine if they would have cleaned the tables and manned the food. Eggs were empty. Orange juice was water. Very poor"

"Staff was very attentive. Free breakfast was very good and ample. Everyday there was some sort of eggs/or waffles and a breakfast meat, oatmeal with a great selection of toppings (no brown sugar though), a variety of breakfast cereals, Greek yogurt, bottled chocolate and regular milk, a variety of bagels, bread for toast, English muffins, and breakfast muffins. Parts of the property needed small repairs -- the toilet paper holder in our room was barely attached to the wall, as was the one by the pool area. On one of the luggage carts one side the poles were completely pulled out from the base which made it very difficult to pull. Housekeeping staff left a lot to be desired. We had to ask for towels, toilet paper, and soap every single day, which was super annoying. We had reserved an accessible room. While we did get a room marked disability accessible, the accessibility was for the visually or hearing impaired, but what we needed was wider doors for a wheelchair and a walk in shower rather than a tub. I am assuming that type of room is available, but if it is a need for you I would definitely clarify that when reserving and again when checking in. The location is very convenient, right off 87, and a short distance to Market 32 (groceries) and Walmart. A big plus for us was that the AC was fantastic, AND it was already on when we checked in, so there was no hot stuffy room awaiting us. We were able to set it as low as 60 at night,it may have gone lower but we didn't try"

"Good Golly, Miss Molly! Can’t stop at a 5 star rating. May I suggest a 9?! Love this place.I needed to accommodate 9 people and this did it in . It also was easily able to let me host an unplanned “family reunion” spanning several days of potluck meals and places various in size for people to group. There are amenities for humans at all ages and stages in life at this property. I am a little conflicted about saying it like I see it because I would very much like to stay again and if you only knew there might not be any availability to return!!!With a little tweaking, this could easily become very feasible as a wedding venue or to host small gatherings.For those of you who are familiar with the movie, “The Big Chill”, there is a morning breakfast montage where many guests come and go. Jeff Goldblum is the last and thinks he is the first. I don’t understand the acoustics of this home because four young people can be in the lower level kicking up a racket and be quite unheard on the main level, so I was able to enjoy the same experience.Leaf Peepers and winter enthusiasts and those who like to stay in a home that is comfortable and unique, this should be on your list when considering a visit to the North Country!"
