TL:DR, I’ll stay there again whenever I need to be downtown on a budget, For the price, I’d be a fool to complain; I’ve stayed in worse places that were three times as expensive. The room was clean, warm, and well lit. The staff was friendly and professional. The bed was comfortable, the duvet and cover were super nice, the pillow was fluffy. The bathrooms felt a bit dingy, but were clean, well-stocked, and in perfect working order. Let me put it this way: considering the location AND the price, this is an incredible bargain. I would DEFINITELY stay here again.

The room where I stayed was clean just the door’s hinges they didn’t fixed that so noisy and no air ventilation .The hostel has unwelcoming ambiance maybe because it’s old and cluttered. But if you’re a student tight on a budget and need a place to stay overnight this place somehow okay, but then I was so disappointed with what the caretaker did. They have a 50$ deposit for the security of their amenities like stains in sheets, lost keys, if you left your trash, they will deduct 20$ from your deposit. So I made sure I won’t get charged for those. But when I checked out and message the lady , she replied that I just returned the locker key only so she will charge me 20$for the entrance door key. Good thing I had took photos and videos of my bed and while putting keys in the basket upon checking out as my evidence just incase. And so I’m right with my instincts, Peter sent picture to the lady that I returned 1 key only so I’ll be charged 20$.When I replied them that I had a video that I returned complete keys. They claimed that it’s just a confusion the other key was hidden in the key tag and they will deposit back the 50$ next day. So what if I don’t have video? I’ll be totally charged 20cad,and it so impossible that the other key get hidden from taking it from the basket and put it on the table to take picture. I don’t know the motive or am I the only one who experienced this here. So just a piece of advice be cautious if you want to stay in this hostel, you cannot trust them.
