"Pro-1. Places, clean, attractive, cozy 2. The staff was fairly nice. However…Cons- OMG. 1. False advertisement, there’s no pool, a kitchen but noway to cook! Host INSISTED me to pay for my own cooking fuel and COAL & everything else! Very very penny pitching cheap host that does not know how to conduct a business and customer service 2. To get to the property it was unsafe and very Dark n scary. One had to drive or walk for long American alley blocks to get to the property. 3. The accommodations were terrible, no place to put your clothes to sit no trash can. The owner wanted to make deals because he didn’t want to lose money to accommodate his guests. There is no pool as advertisedso if you’re looking for someplace to swim, the pool is NOT AVAILABLE , nor is kitchen and there is nowhere to wash your clothes. The electricity goes out you’re screwed because their generator doesn’t work or just too cheap to turn it on. So if you use the restroom, you would have to just be and poop facility until the electricity comes back on or if you’re on your Internet you’re done. 3. One of the staff had a baby that she left to go do whatever so this little infant wandered around knocking at peoples doors early in the morning, requesting attention and food. It was heartbreaking. 4. You cannot sleep because they blast music morning noon night midnight terrible music at that. 5. The host has a vehicle very nice vehicle that doesn’t work and he tries to overcharge you to use his vehicle. "

"Pros:The room is a ground floor apartment within an apartment complex with other long-term renters. (Ground floor is my personal preference.) Good security gate to enter the complex. AC in each room worked well and the electricity stayed on (no power outages). The pool was big and well-maintained. Big TV in living area that we could use our streaming services.The host was accommodating when we mentioned there were 3 of us but only 1 bath towel, he quickly brought us 2 more towels.Being the 1st guests to this location, we provided some more insights to the host to be prepared for USA or European travelers (like correct amount of towels, and toilet paper in the bathroom/washroom). They had consistent hot water for the shower! Having just come from Ghana, where we did not have consistent water, let alone hot water, I was very happy. Cons / to be aware:- WiFi connection was inconsistent, but this is Liberia. So there’s that. - a washing machine is advertised in the listing, but it is a laundry service that is next door to our room. It was 5 USD a load, and we got our folded laundry back within 8 hours. Marthalyn was very quick and kind.- we booked a month prior to our stay. Although about 2 weeks before our trip I had to shift our stay by one day. The response was a little slow on the VRBO app. - the apartment complex is right off the ocean, so the paint on the building reflects the salty moisture air, but not terrible like you see with other buildings. "

"I chose Afrilodge because it looked like it would be close to the sights I wanted to see on the map. It was perfect. I was able to walk literally everywhere. It is located on a main street and easy to reach Providence island, the museum, churches, and monuments in about 10 minutes walking in most cases. The staff were all very friendly and kind, and helped me whenever I had questions. The only thing that could be improved is the food. The restaurant doesn't serve African food, ironic from a place called Afrilodge, and it left a lot to be desired especially for the price. But, if I ever came back I would stay here again. Spacious, clean room, with a desk and chair as well as an arm chair and a smart TV. Really well-appointed for an affordable price. Thanks!"

There was a small hiccup with my food order not arriving exactly as requested one evening, but it was quickly rectified, and the staff’s friendly attitude made it easy to brush off. The minor snag didn’t dampen my overall experience, especially since the rest of the meals were flavorful and satisfying. The resort’s peaceful environment and well-kept grounds made it easy to unwind, whether I was lounging on the beach, dipping into the pool, or strolling through the tropical gardens. It’s clear that the team prioritizes guest comfort and a serene atmosphere. I’d gladly recommend Bamboo Beach Resort to anyone seeking a short, rejuvenating vacation—it’s the perfect blend of scenic beauty, relaxation, and warm hospitality"
