We stayed at the Resort for 5 nights. We rented the pool for 24 girls to learn to swim and the staff and resort were very supportive. We enjoyed our stay and we will return.

The team at the Tropicana truly went above and beyond to make my stay exceptional. I want to give a special shout-out to Williams, who, upon hearing that my sister wasn't feeling well, went out of his way to borrow a blood pressure machine from his mother's house so she could monitor her health. Not only that, but he also sourced green coconuts for her, showing genuine care and thoughtfulness. His constant smile and positive attitude made a real difference. Additionally, Titi (I hope I spelled that correctly) at the reception was incredibly helpful and accommodating, especially considering our unique situation. Alongside Williams, she worked tirelessly to ensure everything went smoothly. The housekeeping staff were equally wonderful, always cheerful and eager to assist. The restaurant team went above and beyond to accommodate us when we decided to host a dinner for friends. One suggestion would be to have fans installed outside rooms 10, 11 and 12 and in the restaurant and areas around the pool.

2nd time staying at the property. The first time was only for one night and it was a pleasant experience. This time around we stayed for a longer duration and didn’t experience the same service. Luckily the The property is still beautiful and well maintained with good dining options. Hoping to come back to a pleasant / peaceful environment.

Très bon hôtel

Très bon hôtel posé sur le sable. Certaines chambres sont face à la mer et d’autres au cœur d’une végétation luxuriante. Chacune a son charme. Compter 1heure du centre ville. La route est souvent embouteillée car en travaux. Idem pour l’aéroport… éviter le rush sinon c’est 1:30… Personnel très agréable. 2 piscines. Nourriture de qualité Top

I spent my 35th birthday in Liberia, from November 20-November 25th. This was my first time in Africa in general. I must say, I had an amazing stay. The entire staff at Tropical took great care of me. The cleanliness, the hospitality, the charismatic personalities, in conjunction with great food, was a reason for me to come back. I am already placing my trip in April and I will be staying at a Tropical Resort again. I had an awesome experience. Thank you so much for the great hospitality.

Beautiful inside and out

The suite was very clean and comfortable with attractive modern decor. The furnished deck was a wonderful spot to read, eat, and relax by the ocean.

Perfect property tucked in a cul de sac in Thinker’s village. Then Staff is very attentive, the grounds are kept tidy and the food is tasty! I’ll continue to patronize the entity.

no value for money, bad service and very noisy

Very bad organisation for checkin, Room was confortable but with a tiny bathroom, no hot water and no wifi in the room. So abnormal for the price compared to others locations in Liberia. Also i arrived on Sunday and i didn't know it can so crowded and so noisy at night - so perfect place if you want to sleep in a club with loud music also lunch was horrible, a lot of time waiting for a poor food, i choose BBQ fish and they choose the cheapest quality of fish as there was too many bones and they overcooked it, so it was completely dessicated and horrible to eat. It was also very long to get the bill, and very very very long to get my change in USD as i was leaving the country i didn't want the local money - and it's cash only so i don't recommend that place

Oasis in Monrovia

A group of six stayed here before our flight after two weeks in Liberia. It was a great place to relax and prepare for the long flight home. Four people were in the bungalows and two of us in the Villa. The bungalows were much preferred as they were cosy and quiet. We had two meals and all the food was very good. The service was also very good. We enjoyed the pool and beautiful setting! Will definitely stay here again.

They turned me away even though I had confirmation

I booked this here on Hotels.com, got a confirmation number, etc, but when I arrived they said there were not rooms open. The staff was not helpful and told us they couldn't reach their boss to resolve this. I had meetings scheduled and needed a place. Staff was cooperative and helped me to find another hotel ... then I found out I was paying $50 a night more than that new hotel normally makes because they give a kickback to the Tropicana staff. Don't book online with them.

An ok choice

Stay was ok. We had issues with check in whereby we had been quoted a price that then wasn’t honoured. So upon booking online I was then told my online booking wasn’t valid. Thankfully the manager appeared and all was fine. The bungalow was clean, spacious and quiet and the WiFi was pretty good. Food was ok and the beach was nice.

This is really nice gem in the middle of chaos. The road leading the the resort is quite undeveloped. Specifically it is a dirt road. There are lot of vendors on the road. Once you get to the resort, which has security it is a very tranquil place. The grounds are a nice and bungalows are just amazing. You can tell management and the staff work really hard to keep the property nice and clean.

Lovely, clean beach with hammocks and nice seating areas. Better to book direct with the hotel, as we booked on-line with expedia and when we arrived, they did not have our rooms. We were given alternative accommodation in a guesthouse down the road, which was clean and comfortable, but not a bungalow and not up to the same standard as the bungalows. Management were very apologetic and provided a free dinner, bottle of wine and discount on the accommodation. Unfortunately the dinner order was messed up. One of us did not get the salad and plate he ordered and when we asked the dish was not available any more. Breakfast took well over an hour to come. The food is very good and the staff are nice, but the restaurant service needs improvement.

It was nice to be on the beach. Service was good. The room was nice! Bathroom needs a door. There was no water in the bungalow and could not get anybody to answer the phone. Eventually went to reception but still no body came to fix it. Checked out at midnight... spent 15 minutes to check out!... poor service!

Great option to get away to the beach

Tropicana is a great option to get away from the center of Monrovia and enjoy some beach time. The bungalows are huge! There is a large sitting area and a king bed in a studio layout. The bathroom is nice and spacious and had hot water. There is a kitchen but no cookware was provided. The hotel grounds are beautifully landscaped. The main pool is large and the beach area has many seating and lounging arrangements. I would love to stay here again!
