Benji`s House by the lake

Easy and relaxing! Our low maintenance home is a great convenient location to explore local breweries or see Cincinnati and Dayton. If you are looking for something refined and inviting - this home is perfect for you. We have 4 flat screen tv`s with full cable t.v. and also roku. You can use our 2-car garage to park your car. This place is relaxing and comfortable for those traveling or a great place for local short-term stays. This neighborhood does enforce quiet hours at night.



When you walk in the door you are greeted by our living room that opens up into the dining area and kitchen area. You`ll find the laundry room with washer/dryer combination just off the kitchen. As you travel down the hallway you`ll find a full bathroom with a shower/tub combination that all three bedrooms share. All bedrooms have smart TVs so you can watch your favorite shows before falling asleep - two queen bedrooms and one twin bunkbed room. If you need to get some work done, we have included a desk/chair in the bunkbed room.

This is a private duplex in which you share a parking area, but that is it. You have your own separate entrances in your garages and front doors.



We are local owners and also run a property management business. We are available, but prefer to give guests their privacy.



There are 2 breweries nearby (2 minutes drive) and you can quickly get to middletown, liberty township, West chester, mason, etc. The outlet malls are nearby (Cincinnati Premium outlets) and the casino is 5 minutes drive. Kings Island is very close (approximately 18 minutes away. Tons of shopping, movies, and more.



You will need to have a car, rent a car, or use a ride-sharing service to enjoy most of the surrounding entertainment and dining.

Check in was easy, communication was very good, location is excellent, yard was great, appreciate that switches were labeled and garage was available to use. The house could use a few touch ups inside but it had all that we needed.

Property is in good location, however; entire property needs work. A drawer is missing in the refrigerator as well as the shelf on the door. The exterior of property needs work. The decor throughout the property is cheap. The interior door from the garage to the house door knob is broke door will not remain closed.

Great communication & great value

I stayed here with a group for about a week. The house was clean and located in a quiet area with lots of parking. We really enjoyed hanging out in the large, lovely backyard. The house isn't fancy and could maybe use some updating, but it worked well for us and was an excellent value. We brought an extra air mattress with us to sleep 8 guests, as there were really only 7 spots to sleep including the couch. Jason was extremely communicative and responded very quickly to any questions or issues, including sending someone out immediately to assist when we had an issue with the door lock. All in all, a very nice stay -- thank you!

It served our purpose.

The place certainly would not sleep 8 (as advertised). 6 comfortably (assuming that a bunk bed is considered comfortable). Not enough kitchen equipment.

Cute and comfortable, an okay stay!

We were in town for a family wedding and the location for all our activities was good. The VRBO listing said it was a no smoking rental, but we found that not to be true! It had obviously had smokers in the house before. Luckily, we were gone from the rental for family activities daily and only there to sleep. We had difficulty with the TV in one bedroom that was not resolved. We couldn’t get the number keypad to work even after they reset it a few times. No one came out to check it and it never worked, so others could not enter unless I was present to unlock with my August Home app. I asked to have my daughter added to the app and couldn’t get it to work for her?! Every text was responded to timely, but was not resolved because we had places to be and couldn’t stay around to wait for someone to come investigate and fix things. The rental guest book asked that we make sure all the windows and doors were closed and locked when we left, however we found the windows unlocked and the back door to the patio unlocked when we arrived. I don’t want to sound like a negative person. Only concerned that you are informed so that some easy fixes could be made to make it a better stay for others. Thank you for sharing your place with us during our stay in Ohio.

Okay, but misrepresented in description.

Description said it could sleep 8. We were planning for 8 but ended up with seven. That was good because there was no bed for an eighth. 3 bedrooms, each for two. One sofa but not a hide-a-bed. On love seat for a 2-year-old (maybe). Also, clean towels were all in dryer, still damp. And the one kitchen table would seat 4, not 7 or 8. No wine glasses, no corkscrew. No grill. Clean sheets were just dumped in closets. Stupid sign in bathroom: “Take a shower you dirty hippy.” Crass and inappropriate.
