"We had nine of us ages 17 to 70, everyone was pleased with the accommodations the food prepared by the cooks and the service of the driver Hassan. This place is right on the beach with gorgeous sunrises. This is not a Marriott resort, so don’t expect that. It is also an hour away from the ferry terminal, so plan for the time cost of transportation. Hassan was very reasonable and got us a nice bus for our trip. We would definitely consider staying here again should we return to Zanzibar."

"Lovely resort for R&R after our safari. They arranged a taxi to and from the airport which was extremely helpful. They even arranged one for us in Dar es Salaam which was a huge stress reliever. "Tembo House was one of the most beautiful and unique hotels my wife and I have ever stayed it. It is walking distance to the heart of Stone Town and the Freddie Mercury museum, also has stunning views of the water and all the boats. Comfortable, clean, vibrant, and gorgeous! "A great location for a quiet get away. The spa treatments and wellness was fabulous. The dining options were always good and of high quality. Staff are friendly and helpful. Recommend the all-inclusive package as options are plentiful and much better than most resorts in Zanzibar. "

"This property was amazing. Stunningly beautiful and everything was thought of. Customer service was top notch. The only areas of improvement for me was that wifi was very slow in some rooms and spaces and the long nails of the spa ladies did not provide for an optimal experience. Other than that - 10/10."

"Tulia is truly a amazing hotel that goes long over expectation. Everything from the lovely garden, to the farm where the grow all vegetables to the food, the beautiful setting and design of the hotel, ocean views, coctails, nice spa, free sups and cayaks and sailing, to the most friendly staffs and great service from the first minute you arrive until you check out. It is a truly gem! I rarely give a 5, but Tulia is one of a kind! "
