On a positive note upgrades and repairs have been attempted. This motel is ok as long as you bring Kleenex, shampoo, conditioner, and hair dryer, as these items are not provided. If you don't like the very little bars of soap please feel free to bring your own. You may wish to bring some disinfecting wipes as the posted signs indicate that the rooms are cleaned on Mondays and Thursdays but this appears to be flexible as ours was not cleaned during our 5 day stay. Make sure you wear your shoes or dark colored socks as the floor darkens your socks. The molding around the door needs repair as the light shines in and there is a hole big enough for a mouse. If you are concerned about safety don't worry the police seem to patrol regularly.

This is a very clean, basic but nice hotel. It both looks and smells clean. The 8+ rating was well deserved. The staff are helpful and accommodating despite some frustrating things going on - an icemaker was out necessitating a trip to the third floor if you wanted ice, the elevator crapped out - but the staff handled it well and apologized profusely. Housekeeping was really nice as well. I felt safe staying here as a solo traveler. My only issue here was not in any way in the hotel's control - there was a LOT of traffic/road noise and a number of very loud people in the halls one night. The next night at 2 am, they very loudly emptied the trash at the diner next door, complete with clanging bins and back-up alarms, so I didn't sleep great either night I was there. That said, the bed was comfy, the room was clean and I enjoyed my stay otherwise. Decent breakfast but it ends early (930). Lots of nearby stuff for breakfast if you miss it as there's a McDonalds not too far away as well as a Starbucks.

The carpet was so gross, I had to keep my shoes on the entire time.. entire lobby reeked of weed. They gave some rando a key to my room and then denied it.. I don’t expect much from a cheap hotel, but this place was terrible
