"We had such a great time at the Mulgrave Mansion! The pictures don't do it justice, it is absolutely stunning and massive. Everything was clean and well-appointed with a great kitchen and all the towels etc. that we could need. We had only planned a quick stopover but wished we could have started longer."

"Beautiful property and rooms! Lots of amenities! Staff were great-room was clean. Only two things which were bad. Our room was right by an inside hallway door. So we heard that banging all night when other guests were going to rooms. Also, sadly-the dining room for breakfast was awful. No service-and it happened to be a buffet that day. Food was just like other hotels free breakfasts. Not great. Didn’t even have juice. And it was priced high. Other than that-would definitely stay there again!"

"We had an excellent stay at the Harbourview Motel and Port Hawkesbury was a great location to stay before heading out to drive the Cabot Trail. We had booked one of the motel rooms online, but upon arrival the owner kindly informed us that there had been a cancellation and upgraded us to Room #1 in the Inn free of charge. If you are staying in the Inn you are able to pull your car up directly to the front door which makes unloading/loading very convenient. The check-out process was also extremely convenient as we simply had to leave our key in your room and leave. We did not visit the onsite cafe during our stay, so I cannot speak to that experience. Finally, just note the nearby streets are extremely steep, so take caution when driving to/from the Motel, especially if you are visiting during poor weather conditions."

"Beautiful, clean, quiet, secluded location on the edge of the woods. Very comfortable place with everything you need to relax and unwind after exploring Cape Breton Island. Loved the screened in porch to sit and read in the evening."

"This is a charming house that worked well for us and our adult children. Beautiful views of the strait. On a very quiet road and easy to get to. Very convenient to Guysborough and St Francis Harbour. Very comfy chairs in the living room! We enjoyed our stay here."

"Superbe emplacement! Haut de la montagne surplombant le lac. Coucher de soleil WOW ! Pour nous, ce fut un bon emplacement pour visiter l’île du Cap-Breton dans son entièreté (côte est, centre et côte ouest). À noter que l’accès au chalet se fait par un petit chemin abrupte et escarpé en gravel… un bon véhicule AWD est requis."
