Aspendale beach apartment

Great location right near a peaceful beach! Nice restaurants nearby; also train station. Worked really well for our stay to visit family.

A Stayz disaster.

We could not stay. Not suitable for long term stay. Looked great on line but was very small, shabby, poorly maintained and grubby.We met the owner there and she was going to fix the lock that was very difficult to open and then we could not lock it. Zarah has it up for sale.She did send a locksmith. The blind on the front room didn't work and the the toilet seat hinge was broken. The Shower was over a very narrow bath. Very cramped. We asked for a refund as we had paid 5000 for a month???What rights do we have in this circumstance?

long Weekend at Aspendale

Little bit disappointed with communication from owner when i asked how to start the gas fire, the reply was "Remote control on table"what i eventually found out, thanks to google, you need to hold down the "off button and the fan" button together until the unit beeps and then it will start.( I've never held an "off " button to start anything )It was also difficult to open the entry sliding door, owner said you need to "giggle" the door. (Jiggle? maybe) anyways, you needed to lift the sliding door from the small handle (quite difficult if you were older or had weak hands ). then the front door roller blind was broken and needed to be rolled up by hand.The gas cooktop wouldn't light, so we had to go buy matches to be able to cook brekky, no big deal, but why not have a igniter there to use ? So a few simple improvements to make a world of difference to anyone's experience here. It was a small but pleasant Unit.
