So it’s a bit farther out of downtown than it seems, but we had a car and it seemed public transport was close by. Showers are quite small, but normal for Europe. We got a hotel by the train station (the Derby) at which we've enjoyed staying on previous trips. He would not have handled the 45 steps to Chalet M very well. 「We enjoyed our stay at this property! The unit was cozy, clean, & well furnished - it had lovely warm home vibes & breathtaking views of the Eiger just out on the front patio. The unit is conveniently located near Grindelwald Terminal (train station & Eiger Express) & a 1-2 minute walk to local bus routes 21 & 23 to get you to the heart of town, so it's very accessible if you're traveling on public transportation systems.
