Cute cabin with a few drawbacksWe really enjoyed our stay at this super cute and cozy cabin—it had everything we needed for a relaxing week away. The porches were lovely for morning coffee, the location was easy to find, and communication with the host was quick and responsive.A few things to note for future guests: the second bedroom didn’t have usable drawer space, as the dresser was full of the owner’s items—not ideal for a week-long stay. The dock area was also a bit of a letdown. There was a boat and jet skis parked there, which blocked the view and made it tough to fish or fully enjoy the space. Swimming meant heading to the muddy bank, which wasn’t great due to the smell—though we understand that’s just part of the natural setting, not the owner’s fault. The biggest concern, which we saw in other reviews as well, was the extremely steep walkway or stairs to the dock. It’s not very safe for elderly guests or small children, so something to keep in mind when booking. We looked into renting a golf cart because there were golf cart tracks leading down to the dock but could not find anything the week we were there. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and we appreciated the peaceful surroundings. We ended up swimming at nearby Tugaloo State Park, which was a great alternative
