Decor is cute and nautical, but it does feel like the cottage is missing a few things. It sleeps 4, but there is not enough seating for 4 in the living room. An additional comfortable chair would be nice. A stackable washer and dryer would also be great, but there is very little space for anything- we even had trouble finding spots for our luggage. "We absolutely loved our stay at Mansion House Inn & Spa. This was our first trip to MV, and we didn't really know where we should stay, but we are so happy we ended up staying in Vineyard Haven, and specifically at Mansion House. The Inn is so beautifully decorated, the location is super convenient, and I honestly don't think I have ever stayed at a place that is so clean. Everything is pristine - including the stairwells! The beds are super comfortable, and the linens are all top notch. Everyone was so helpful, and really wanted to help us put together the best weekend. We followed all of their tips, and just had such a memorable long weekend there. We loved the low-key vibe of Vineyard Haven. It was fun to go to Oak Bluffs and Edgartown, but we really appreciated coming back to the more relaxed feel of Vineyard Haven. We greatly enjoyed the shops and the restaurants that were just steps from the hotel. We also enjoyed an amazing couples massage at the spa. We unfortunately did not make it up to the rooftop deck until the last day. The view up there is phenomenal and it would have been great to enjoy my morning coffee up there. On the last day, upon recommendation of the hotel staff, we took the free island bus to Aquinnah. The views there are absolutely spectacular. Thank you to all of the staff at Mansion Inn for helping us enjoy such a memorable time on MV!"

Vineyard Harbor Motel - Private Beach

"Cute hotel within a verry short walking distance from the ferry terminal and bus stop. Very clean, refrigerator in the room, good water pressure and hot water. There was a nice lounge area with a washer and dryer. Couldn't find an ice machine (didn't look hard either) and there was no full length mirror in the room but that was the only downside. Nice private beach area and deck overlooking the water. There is a grocery store across the street and down a block which was very nice to have close by. Would absolutely stay here again."

"The Christopher is officially my new favorite hotel. Bailey greeted us when we arrived and was the primary person we saw during our stay. She was lovely and so helpful. I could have fainted when she offered to have our super heavy luggage taken up 3 flights of stairs for us! We were upgraded free of charge to a larger room that had its own private deck. The room was beautiful - gorgeous furnishings and so clean and comfortable. There are homemade, sinfully delicious chocolate chip cookies served at 3 pm - we actually raced back to the hotel for these; they were so good! And the homemade breakfasts served each morning with delicious, strong coffee were a welcome way to start the day. I've already started planning a girls' trip to the island and The Christopher is where we'll stay!"

Faraway Martha's Vineyard

"We came here on our anniversary and could not have picked a better place. The boutique-yet-full-service hotel is elegant and beautiful, with great taste everywhere and amazing ocean views. The heated (perfect temperature) pool and jacuzzi were a perfect spot to take a break at any time in the day, with relaxing and happy lounge music. Most importantly, the staff is highly well trained, educated, and devoted to service with a smile without the attitude sometimes found in premium hotels sometimes. Mattia (spelling?), Duna, Julian were amazing. Coffee in the room a great plus! Short walk from the ferry (3 minutes!) and in the center of the action makes this hard to beat. I would only add more obvious breakfast choices (most guests just go out to great options short walks away) to make this even more perfect. We will certainly be back."
