"Recently returned from a short break at Wildgoose Cottage. The cottage is deceptively spacious, warm and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. It is ideally situated just off the Cleveland Way to walk into Whitby, a flat walk approx 45-50 minutes or to Robin Hoods Bay a more undulating walk approx 2.5 hours, both with fantastic views. "What a wonderful apartment! It lacked nothing we needed, all good quality too. It is located quite near Whitby centre, but up a steep hill. The owner Kerry was super helpful.parking was a bit difficult owing to an inconsiderate driver parking in the unloading area for two days, but we had a great stay and would highly recommend this apartment."

"Very well presented little cottage. There are a few different cottages here, we stayed in Valencourt. Quality furnishings and fittings, was very comfortable and cosy for a family of 4. Only frustration was the showers. Very difficult to get the right temp for the kids. (I think its to do with the hot water pressure) Even so it didn't spoil our stay, lovely touch with welcome pack in the kitchen, tea, sugar, milk, bread, butter, fresh orange juice and biscuits. Our only disappointment was the lack of the BBQ as we had meals planned and food bought! "The house was everything we hoped for and more. The decor is spot on and there can't be many houses in Whitby with a better vista. The only thing I would say though is that it is very difficult to load and unload...Church St car park was packed so we had to use the Abbey car park which is a gruelling up/downhill slog for the less fit/able. Be prepared to travel very light as you can't get close to the property with a car. Having said that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return."
